I know that a lot of you out there are huge Boardwalk Empire fans – and more than some of you have plans this Halloween to dress like your favorite characters from the HBO masterpiece. While the ladies are probably going to want a feather or boa to ‘complete their outfit,’ us men are going to need something a little more stiff – like a drink. Prohibition moonshine might do the trick – but I prefer a good gin like Tanqueray. Seeing as you can’t drink G&T’s anymore (we’re way past Labor Day…) we’ve pulled together some other great gin drinks to help you drink like your baller great-grandfather used to. We’ll teach you how to Nucky after the jump.

Gentlemen, it’s time to man up. We’re all sick and tired of watching grown men elbow their way to the front of the bar, only to order some fruity vodka-infused drink with a sexually suggestive name. It’s not funny, and it sure as hell isn’t what a man should be ordering at a bar. If you are content to down sorority house swill in neon colors for the rest of your life, read no further. If however, you want to take off your little boy clothes and don the sophisticated suit of manhood, follow our lead as we explore the intimidating, yet rewarding world of manly drinks!

I’m not going to lie, bringing you this week’s edition of COED’s drinks of the week wasn’t easy! Put yourself in our shoes for a moment and just think about it. How would you like it if you had to taste test a premium american vodka, a quadruple distilled London dry gin, and then an 8 year aged bourbon whiskey? That’s right, you’d feel hungover, and so do we! This week we take a look at BAMA Vodka, Bulldog Gin, and Jim Beam Black. Let’s do this before I get the spins again.
