As the NCAA’s most celebrated living mascot, the University of Georgia bulldog is one important canine. To date, there have been eight dogs that have held the name Uga (pronounced UH-guh) a derivation of the school’s familiar acronym UGA. Frank W. “Sonny” Seiler has owned the Uga lineage since 1956 taking each dog to every game from his home in Savannah, Ga. ever since. Every dog has had its own personality, legacy, and win record but each shares in the long held traditions of college mascots.

Sometimes you don’t really need to have a good reason to hate someone for any reason other than where they are from. Before you go crazy on me, I am not talking about racial profiling; I’m talking about college football rivalries. Every team starts the season with aspirations of division, conference, and/or even national title hopes in mind. Of course most teams can’t live up to those dreams. But there is a something that any team would gladly have as the consolation prize to a championship — beating their hated rival. Here are the biggest rivals in the history of college football.

With the NFL draft quickly approaching on April 22, outrageous rookie contracts and salaries are becoming a hot topic once again. When 21-year-old players who haven’t passed all their humanities courses are being guaranteed upwards of $30 to $40 million, it has become clear you don’t have to be a middle-aged Wall Street mogul to be a mega-rich anymore.

Thanksgiving is a thing of the past and now COED has refocused its mind on the lovely cheerleaders of those top ten teams heading into Championship Week 2009. With six unbeaten teams entering the final week of the season, plenty of BCS bids are up for grabs. Strap on your gear for the final week of the season.

The college football season is nearing its end. Conference titles are being handed out, bowl game combatants are becoming clear, and emo Senior cheerleaders are beginning to go ‘all out’ five to six nights a week. With fall in full swing and six teams still undefeated, we are heading into the last leg of the season.
