I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Being on television is the best way to make yourself look like a complete jackass. Take this little girl, for instance, who’s asked a simple question on a game show. Now, just getting answer wrong would be one thing. But getting the answer this wrong is something else entirely.
Fox sure knows how to make brainless, uncomfortable programming.
If The Moment of Truth flirts with disaster, Battle of the Bods goes right for the jugular: it consists of five girls who compare each other’s assets on a scale from 1 to 5, in hopes of placing each other in the same rated order as three judge(mental) dudes watching them from behind a two-way mirror.
The girl who matches the judge’s decisions closest wins a cash prize.
Jamie Sadler, a 19 year old student at the University of Florida, was not only the first contestant to play for money, but was also the first contestant to net $1,000,000 on the new CBS game show “Power of 10.” The show hosted by Drew Carey features contestants predicting the results of polls of Americans on topics concerning politics and pop culture with the top prize being $10,000,000.
The ratings for the preire show (9.25 million) were very high and I feel it is the best new game show on TV. The questions are relevant to our age bracket and (although I hate to admit it) Drew Carey does a great job as host.
After the jump check out a clip of Jamie Sadler’s $1,000,000 question to get a good idea of what the show is all about. (more…)
