Today must be Mets Appreciation Day at COED. First, we posted 5 reasons why Mets fans shouldn’t give up on the team in 2012 then we get this awesome video from Chess Club Comedy in which David Wright dominates a game of “Icebreakers” during freshman Orientation. It’s rare that you have a YouTube video where everyone in the sketch nails their part, but we got one here. Btw, I love all the women in the skit, but I know you’re asking “Who’s the hot one?” Her name’s Allison Brown and you can see more of her here. You’re welcome.

Al Capone made a living off of one of the worst laws in American history. At one point he was earnings over 100 million dollars a year, simply by giving the people what they wanted, booze. But liquor discrimination still continues today despite the efforts of Capone and his crew. Today’s bootleggers, college freshmen, have adapted the methods of Capone to smuggle liquor into dorm rooms, and themselves into bars, proving that people today have just as little respect for liquor laws than they have ever had.

In a controversial move Stanford University announced that families earning less then $100,000 no longer have to pay tuition. Also, families earning less then $60,000 a year no longer have to pay tuition, the costs of room and board, or any other expenses. The program was designed to eliminate student loans and will begin in the 2008-2009 academic year.
