The 2011 Pitchfork Music Festival took place this past weekend at Union Park in Chicago. Passes for the event sold out in one day. The lineup included Animal Collective, Curren$y, Das Racist, Guided by Voices, DJ Shadow, Fleet Foxes, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Deerhunter, Odd Future Wolfgang Kill Them All, TV on the Radio, Superchunk and many more. Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor is as much Rock Star to the world or internet marketing as he is to the world of Rock n’ Roll. While the industry continued to beat it’s head against the wall of a dead music model, Trent harnessed the power of the internet and gave the fans what they wanted – the cow and the milk for free.
