The very first issue of Rolling Stone magazine was published on November 9, 1967. In the debut issue, Jann wrote, “is not just about the music, but about the things and attitudes that music embraces.” During the 1980s the magazine began to shift focus towards being a general “entertainment” magazine. Music was still a dominant topic but there was increasing coverage of celebrities in television, movies and the pop culture of the day. The magazine also initiated its annual “Hot Issue” during this time. With it came sexier covers. To celebrate the anniversary of the mag’s premiere, we’ve pulled together its 39 sexiest covers. Take a look then vote for the one you think trumps them all in our poll below.

November 7th is National Magazine Day. When you’re looking to buy a magazine, the first thing you see is the cover (editor’s note: Duh). If you happened to see the covers of the 70 issues here, you might have bought the mag without even opening the pages; they’re that amazing. You can forget the phrase “you can’t judge a book by its cover” for now because, well, they’re not books (editor’s note: double duh). From Lindsay Lohan to Victoria Silvstedt, from GQ to Playboy, we’re looking at 70 of the sexiest magazine covers in honor of this special, glossified day. Check out the hottest covers to ever grace newsstands and mailboxes in our gallery after the jump.

September 23rd is Celebrate Bisexuality Day. Bisexuals remain the single most curious phenomenon. I’ve argued ad nauseum with many friends about whether or not someone can be a “true” bisexual – does that mean they have to split time equally boning boys and girls? Where’s the scoreboard? Anyway, there’s no arguing our list of the 27 sexiest celebrity bisexuals. To quote Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake, “it’s okay to put us in a three-way” with any of these ladies. Check ‘em out after the jump.

As the summer season winds to an end, so do the summer shows. Last night (Sunday, 9/11) marked the series finale of Entourage and the season finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm. As you can see from the video below, Larry likes to pass the time by drawing Hitler mustaches on people, just to see what it would look like. Now, he’s not a Nazi supporter, and neither are we, but there’s something comical about seeing your favorite celebrity sporting the iconic lip fuhrer… sorry, fur. Try not to laugh as you hail our controversial photo gallery after the jump.

Last night, the Mavs avenged their ’06 Finals loss to the Heat with a decisive Game 6 victory over the Big Three in Miami for their first NBA title. It seems everyone and their Delonte West-banging mother rooted agaisnt the cHeat, painting Lebron, D-Wade, and Bosh like immature, taunting, childish, crybaby super villains. We feel Twitter is always a good measuring stick / barometer for public reaction, so it’s no surprise that #heatlockerroomplaylist is trending. People are more pumped to see the Heat lose than the Mavs win. We sifted through the piles of suggestions to come up with the best of the best. Take a listen then suggest your own in the comments section below our partner links after the jump shot.

It’s prom season, y’all. You know what that means – horrible bronzing, butchered hair cuts, super fake eyelashes, ghetto fabulous dresses, and those boss tuxedos from Dumb & Dumber. If you’ve ever hung out with a girl you know about Us magazine and their feature called, “Celebs – just like us!”, which drives regular Joes like us f***ing insane. Why chicks like seeing pics of celebs doing normal every day sh*t is beyond me. Anyway, turns out celebrities ALSO WENT TO PROM JUST LIKE US!!!! OMG!!! WTF!1!1!1!1 Some of these pics are pretty hilarious. So, I guess now we can finally put those rumors of celebrities being genetically engineered super robot aliens to rest. See the gallery after the jump!

Just who in the holy hellscape is Alexander McQueen? Well, he was a British fashion designer who was chief designer at Givenchy before founding his own label. He won 4 British Designer of the Year awards as well as International Designer of the Year. Unfortunately, he passed in February 2010. But, his legacy still lives on as evidenced by the startling turnout of A-list celebrities at his Savage Beauty Costume Institute Gala held at the Met last night. We say, “startling” because we don’t even see this kind of top notch celebrity attendance at the Super Bowl, Grammys, Oscars, and Emmys combined. Don’t believe us? The proof’s in the pictures, my man. Check ‘em out after the jump!

We’ve been pretty nostalgic here at COED lately. Earlier today, we showed you candid pics from the 61st and 62nd Academy Awards. In early February, we showed you yearbook photos of a former fat kid turned skinny rock star comedian and a beautiful blonde who went from hoodies to hot hand bras. Now, we turn our attention to the music industry with yearbook photos of 41 famous “rock stars”. While you may notice not everyone in our gallery can be categorized as “rock”, you have to admit they underwent a “rock star” transformation. Can you guess the identities without looking at the captions? See the pics after the jump!

Two weeks ago, we gave away an iPad to the winner of our “Caption This” contest and this last week we anounced another iPad giveaway. Instead of doing another “Caption This” contest, we peer pressured you to get down and dirty with the rich and famous using Jeep’s “Mud U” Facebook app. After sifting through more than 100 submissions to COED Magazine’s Facebook Wall we narrowed the list down to our 16 favorite submissions (view below). See who won after the jump!

With Thanksgiving bearing down on us like an unmanned train full of volatile chemicals that only Denzel Washington and Chris Pine can stop, it’s time for us to reflect on those things for which we’re grateful. As you can probably tell from out Thanksgiving Poca-Hotness feature, Native American women top our list. Women like our very own Miss COED Sahar Khadj… Click to read more

As What Would Tyler Durden Do points out, Smallville began its 10th season earlier this week so the CW sent out pics of Laura Vandervoort as Supergirl. Though Laura is super hot, we wondered what other super sexy celebrities would look like in the Supergirl outfit. It didn’t take us long to find legions of photoshopped fakes featuring your favorite femme fatales in the good old blue, red, and gold. We’ve never been more jealous of the letter, ‘S’. Up, up, and away!

After the much loved Sports Illustrated vs Victoria’s Secret, we’ve decided to put together the next installment of hottie head-to-heads: FHM vs Maxim. The best of the best, these two publications have helped define what it means to be a man in the 21st Century–and brought us the hottest chicks from across the globe every month of the year.
