The unfortunate death of Steve Jobs revealed some interesting information that a lot of people might not have known, like the fact that he was adopted. While a national-level official survey hasn’t been done on adoption since 1992, an AFCARS report shows that over 52,000 children were adopted in 2010 alone. The same study also shows that 60% of Americans know someone who has either adopted or been adopted themselves. After checking out the list after the jump, you can officially consider yourself part of the 60% (or the 99%) whichever you prefer.

Last night, country music’s best gathered to celebrate the year’s best artists at the CMAs. Personally, I’m not a fan of country music. I fully support the messages behind most songs – drink and screw – but I’ve never really 100% followed the scene. It’s been argued that southern women are the hottest and overall best because of their ability to A) party and B) still look hot / not act psycho / remain classy while doing it. Well, color me surprised, because I didn’t think Erin Andrews was a country music fan or from the south, but she dominated the red carpet at last night’s ceremony. There is just something to be said for a babe with a slight twang in her voice. As if her looks alone did not make her hot enough, that little southern accent vaults her from babe status to an outright sex symbol. The Academy of Country Music will be recognizing the best voices in country music Sunday night (April 18th) with the Academy of Country Music Awards.
