As you all know, we here at COED love these peppy ladies more than life itself (except the part of life that involves cheerleaders, of course). So get ready for our seventh installment of Cheerleader Showdown!

This time, we’ve got the lovely Kendra from WVU. Next up is East Carolina University’s blond bombshell Cassie Adcock. And rounding out the competition comes Boston College’s Molly.

In Cheerleader Showdown I Whitney McMillan (Old Dominion) demolished the competition with 78-percent of the votes. In Cheerleader Showdown II, Holly Simmons from University of Tennessee came out on top with 54-percent of the votes. In Cheerleader Showdown III, Lauren Thompson topped the competition with over 60-percent of the votes. In Cheerleader Showdown IV, Oregon Duck Kelsi Metzler won with 60% of the vote. In Cheerleader Showdown V it was Shiloh of Arizona who beat her competition with 61% of the votes. In Cheerleader Showdown VI it was Lisa of UCLA who beat her competition with 68% of the votes.

Who will come out on top this time? You decide!

My Apology to the East Carolina Pirates and USC No. 1…again

After opening the season by upsetting two ranked teams, the Pirates earned themselves a place in the AP Top 25 for the first time in nine years. I thought week 1 was a total fluke. I was wrong. REALLY wrong.

East Carolina was No. 14 in the media poll released Sunday. Southern California remained No. 1 and Georgia was No. 2.

Ohio State’s sluggish 26-14 victory against Ohio, without star tailback Chris Wells, on Saturday cost the Buckeyes two spots in the rankings. They fell to No. 5 behind No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 4 Florida.

ECU spanked West Virginia. They brutalized them on the line and downfield. WVU strutted on and around the field like a top ranked team, they just didn’t play like it. I can only hope that ECU doesn’t start to buy into all of the hype now. If they can keep playing like they did on Saturday, this could be an epic season for the Pirates.

I will be watching!

PS – oh yeah, Pete Carroll and USC are #1 again…sigh…

College Football Week Two: Cheerleader Edition

Finally, football season is in full swing and we’re freakin’ psyched! Last week’s opening games went pretty much as we predicted and we’re more than ready for this week. A lot of in, outs, what-have-you’s, and really, anyone could end up on top. Ok, not really anyone, but we don’t want to spoil your fun this early in the season. So here’s this week’s games of the top 10 presented by cheerleaders, as God intended.

College Football Week One: Cheerleader Edition

As of Friday afternoon, everyone is at 0-0 (almost, sorry Baylor, you got hammered). With the openning day kick-off less than 24 hours away, let us put Obama/McCain on hold and turn our attention to young men being given free educations in exchange for engaging in the controlled violence that we in the U.S. call NCAA College Football.
