If you haven’t seen this on Facebook or Twitter, today (December 5th) would have been Walt Disney’s birthday. Although he’s been dead for almost 45 years, his legacy still has a profound impact on pop culture. We’ve all heard the crazy stories about him: ones that range from Walt being an anti-Semite to him having his head being cryogenically frozen. July 17th marks the anniversary of Disneyland’s opening. While many of us East Coasters opt for Disney World, we hear Disneyland ain’t so bad either. In brainstorming ways to honor this momentous date, we thought maybe we could do creepy and/or awkward pics of scared kids with characters or the most dangerous rides, but when we saw one of the vintage posters it was a no-brainer. I hate Halloween. I have always hated Halloween. One of the first pictures anyone ever took of me is in a pumpkin costume at age 4, crying my eyes out. I don’t hate other people who like Halloween, but the holiday itself makes me so pissed that when prompted to write a Halloween article I refused to write a positive one.
