How do you plan on spending tomorrow’s 35th anniversary of the release of Star Wars? We know somebody who’s got money for a big blowout. A bank in Toledo, Ohio was robbed yesterday by a criminal in a Darth Vader mask. Then Darth rode off on a bicycle. Don’t be too hard on the intergalactic warlord, though. It’s been a tough 35 years sinc… Click to read more

First, let’s define “memorable” – it’s something that’s worth remembering or easily remembered. So, for our list of most memorable movie dudes, we took both meanings into consideration – male characters that are both easily remembered (you don’t need hints, clues, or the like) and WORTH remembering. That’s the key word here – worth. There are thousands of great performances or great actors who can bring any character to life but these male CHARACTERS are the ones we know right off the bat and are okay in our book. Check it out in our slideshow then vote for the most memorable in our poll after the jump.

What do Adolf Hitler, Abe Lincoln, and the Easter Bunny all have in common? They straight up kill while rocking on the mic in their rap battles. The people behind Epic Rap Battles of History take some of the most famous, historic figures and, well, have them rap battle. With Albert Einstein vs. Stephen Hawking, Darth Vader vs. Adolf Hitler, and Abe Lincoln vs. Chuck Norris you are bound to find one that strikes your historical, verse-spitting fancy. Check out the battles after the jump!

James Montgomery Flagg’s 1917 Uncle Sam “I Want You” poster was based on the original British Lord Kitchener poster of three years earlier. It was used to recruit soldiers for both World War I and World War II. The Uncle Sam character is actually based on Samuel Wilson, a meat packer from upstate NY who shipped beef to the U.S. Army in barrels marked “U.S.” during the War of 1812. Flagg called it “most famous poster in the world.” We’d have to agree as countless artists have given it their own twist with iconic characters substituting for Uncle Sam like Darth Vader, Doctor Doom, GI Joe’s Cobra, Master Shredder and more. Check it out after the jump.

This video makes me feel so many emotions. Most of them include anger and hate. The bummy actors in this video have ruined two important eras for me. It wasn’t enough for them to take a massive dump on my nerdy Star Wars phase, but they had to wipe themselves with AC/DC, Guns and Roses and Metallica then flush them both down the toilet together. Check out the video after I jump.

I’m not sure what happened to Darth Vader, but isn’t he supposed to be a d*ck? Well actually, he’s supposed to be dead- so that’s another mystery. But in this video, Darth comes out and you automatically assume that he’s going to Force Choke the last breath out of every senior citizen in the room. Well you’d be wrong because he starts blasting the samba on his trombone and shaking his legs to the beat. He does finally realize that he’s evil and (during his rendition of Daddy Yankee’s Gasolina) actually tries to skeet skeet on the crowd. Check it out after the jump!

Splatterhouse is a remake of the 1988 game of the same name. In Splatterhouse you play as Rick who with his girlfriend Jennifer, shack up in the West Mansion to wait for a storm to blow over. Upon entering the mansion Jennifer is kidnapped by demons and one fatally wounds you and leaves you for dead. Resurrected by the “Hell Mask” (think The Mask with less comedy and more violence), you must massacre everything in your path to get Jennifer back and save the day. So, we got to thinking – who are some of the most bad-ass villains to ever don a mask?

For years Star Wars fans have had to deal with the indignation of not being properly represented in the flash drive arena. You either had to buy the same one as everyone else and put a Yoda sticker on it, or buy one that was badly painted to look like Darth Vader.

In an industry that is fond of retooling, remaking, and flat-out copying its past work, it would nice if Hollywood updated some of these cinema greats (and not so greats) in 3D?
