First, let’s define “relevant”. It’s “Closely connected or appropriate to the matter at hand”. In terms of stand up comedy, that means having a connection with your audience. You’re up there on stage, making observations, and the audience whether they sympathize, empathize, or just process what you’re saying and they respond in a favorable way (read: they f***ing laugh and clap). Comedians like Richard Pryor, George Carlin, Eddie Murphy and Jerry Seinfeld became huge celebrities because audiences could relate to them in some way. But those guys aren’t “relevant” today. So, who is? Let us break it down for you with today’s most relevant comedians in our list after the jump.

The scenario’s all too familiar, you’re sitting on your couch, out-of-shape, covered in food crumbs watching Conan, Jimmy, SportsCenter or… E! News… and you see a guy who’s got it all. Money, looks, women – the dude isn’t lacking in ANY of those categories. With the new body swap comedy “The Change-Up” hitting theaters August 5th, we decided to take a look at the 10 dudes we’d like to pee in a magical wish-granting fountain with. Check out who made the cut in our slideshow after the jump.

Twitter’s a mixed bag; there’s a lot of superfluous garbage. Many consider it to be a steady stream of textual diarrhea, it’s enough to make a person give up. But, there are a few people worth following for their consistently charming and intriguing tweets. Whether it’s their observational humor, unfiltered dialogue, refreshing nature, nonsensical babble, or flat-out ability to engage with his or her fans, the following 10 tweeters never disappoint. Check ‘em out below and let us know if we missed any in the comments section after the jump!

So, if you didn’t catch the season premiere of Tosh.0 last night, you missed Tosh catching a Pacquiao punch to the face. Manny most liked used less than 50% of his total strength, and Tosh was already shying away from the hit when it happened, so, we’re not 100% impressed but at the same time, props to Daniel for not messin’ hisself. Even Mayweather takes a shot at the end. Check it out after the jump!

If there’s one thing that Tosh knows all too well, it’s not to piss off the censorship gods of Comedy Central. Just when it looked like his showcase of the most sexually disturbing internet memes looked like a no-go, he did the next best thing – turn these X-rated, beyond filthy videos into G-rated fun that the whole family can enjoy(?)! “Shake the Bear” and “Church of Fudge” never looked so adorable and innocent. See this video for yourself!

Daniel Tosh is the new Dave Chappelle. Okay, so maybe it’s not as cut and dry as that but Tosh’s ratings for Comedy Central are very Chappelle-like. He’s averaging more than 4 million viewers every Tuesday night (“Chappelle Show” averaged 3.1 million at its peak), he’s destroying Stewart and Colbert. He’s even beating South Park, which gets 3.7 million on average. His Comedy Central stand-up special, “Happy Thoughts”, had approximately 3.2M viewers, which is a new record for the cable net.

Daniel Tosh’s Comedy Central stand-up special, “Happy Thoughts” aired tonight and the comic didn’t disappoint when it came to delivering his harsh brand of humor. The one bit that’s getting the most attention from the internet world is his brutal rant about his girlfriend, model-actress Megan Abrigo. Born and raised in Hawaii, she moved to Cali to get her college degree in Studio Art and Graphic Design. She went on to appear in Maxim, FHM Spain, Allue, Shape, and Transworld magazines. People listed her as one of their 100 Most Beautiful People in 2006 and you might remember her as a Deal Or No Deal Briefcase Beauty for the first 4 seasons. She was also our Miss COED in August 2010. Read more and see her pics after the jump!

As you know we’re big fans of Tosh.0 on Comedy Central. His stand up comedy special, “Happy Thoughts“ premieres Sunday, March 6th on Comedy Central with the DVD coming out on March 8th. We were lucky enough to get our hands on an advanced copy but we’re not greedy, so we decided to host a contest. You might be familiar with Slim Thug’s “Like a Boss”. Lonely Island produced a parody song also called, “Like a Boss”, which was then followed by “Like a Bosh”. Well, since Daniel loves Twitter so much, we’re asking you to tweet “Like a Tosh”. Don’t know what we’re talkin’ about? Read the details after the jump!

If you’re familiar with Facebook’s Doppelganger Week, you know where we’re going with this post. If you don’t, it’s where users change their profile picture to that of celebrities they look like. One celebrity who happens to share a look with a handful of other famous peeps is Comedy Central‘s internet wizard Daniel Tosh. Surprising, right? He has such a distinct look yet, much like the internet, his likeness can be found in a scary number of other places and faces. Tosh’s fans have compiled a pretty vast database of doppelgangers, but here are our 8 favorite. See the full list of lookalikes after the jump!

Well, some people don’t grow out of their wrestling appreciation phase. Take viral video star the Crying Wrestling Fan, Dave Wills“>Dave Wills. If you’re not familiar with Dave, here’s a slowed down version, the regular version, and the sped up version of his humiliating breakdown during a wrestling Q&A. Anyway, Dave gets his shot at a web redemption on tonight’s Tosh.0, which airs at 10p ET / 9pm CT. Some say Tosh.0 is fake… well… (*fights back tears*)… IT’S STILL REAL TO ME DAMMIT! See a clip from the Crying Wrestling Fan Web Redemption after the jump!

Daniel Tosh is slowly taking over the world. His show, Tosh.0, is getting better ratings than The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and his following on Twitter and Facebook is off the charts. On this week’s show, he gave Optimo 55 Souf, the rapper who danced his way into traffic and literally got trucked, a Web Redemption by producing a sleek music video for “I’m Gipper”, the song that plays before he gets crushed. Check it out after the jump and let us know what you think!

Let’s face it – we’re addicted. Every single one of us. We’re addicted to ‘tweets’ and ‘blogs’ and cute f**king kittens. We’re addicted to staying in touch with everyone we’ve ever met (and plenty of people we’ve never met), to talking sh*t anonymously to strangers and laughing at other’s misfortune. And it’s high time somebody show this every-growing monstrosity called the Internet who’s the g*ddamn boss! Which is where Tosh.0 comes in.
