Yes, it’s finally here. You’ve been hoping and waiting for this day to come for months now and it’s finally come. No, I’m not talking about Christmas, dummy, I’m talking about the start of the NBA season. Earlier in the month, we told you about Rick’s Cabaret launching a new all-dancer basketball league. Today, the gentleman’s club announced that former NBA slam dunk champion Spud Webb has signed on to be the head coach of the NYC team. We were lucky enough to attend the announcement and snap off a couple pics of the newly anointed leader with his squad. The 2011-12 NBA season is officially dead. Most people are fine with this – we get to see more celebrity charity events and players whooping @ss overseas – and for those other diehards, there’s always NBA 2k12. For those who were in it strictly for the dancers, you might not be out of luck. The ReD Foxes is a Ukrainian dance team of professional gymnasts and ballerinas who make appearances all over the world including the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. The squad’s founder stated, “The ultimate task for all the Red Foxes is to reach the hearts of our spectators.” We say that’s not the only thing they’re reaching. Back in August, we named Rick’s Cabaret as one of the 10 best strip clubs in America. Why? Because they pull off stuff like this all-exotic dancer basketball league to help fill the void left by the NBA Lockout. The league will be made up of 11 teams, one from each city the chain has a club in (New York, Philly, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, Charlotte, Miami, Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston). Each team will play 2 games over 2 days – November 17th and 18th. We were lucky enough to receive a special invite to check out the NYC squad. Good thing we brought a camera. Seems like just yesterday the Bruins hoisted Lord Stanley’s Cup above their heads as the entire city of Vancouver collectively lost their sh*t and rampaged. Well, the NHL 2011-12 season is upon us as the first puck is scheduled to drop October 6th at 7pm ET. Also scheduled to drop? Your jaw. Why? Ice Girls and their colossal cleavage. With the Atlanta Thrashers now the Winnipeg Jets we wonder if the Ice Girl tradition will continue. We certainly hope so. Apparently, this video was filmed after six hours of pole-dancing workshops at UP DANCE Studio. The two women, Ooana Kivela (winner of one Pole World Cup) and Grazzy Brugner (Miss Pole Dance Brazil World) are pretty good at dry humping a pole eight feet high what they do. I’m not going to lie, one of them is much better looking than the other but you have to watch to find out which one I’m talking about. On July 3rd, Major League Baseball announced the rosters for the 2011 MLB All Star Teams.  On July 4th, America celebrated our Independence Day. For the first time in what feels like a long time, the Los Angeles Lakers won’t be in the NBA Finals. We WILL have a new league & Western Conference champion. The NHL All-Star Game is back after a one year hiatus due to the 2010 Winter Olympics. It’ll take place Sunday, January 30th at the RBC Center in Raleigh, NC, home to the Carolina Hurricanes. For the first time, the teams won’t represent conference or nationality, but instead will be drafted by two captains. Pretty cool. If you’re not an avid follower of the sport, you should know there are “cheerleaders” called “Ice Girls” and they’re just as hot as the NFL’s or NBA’s bouncin’ beauties. On Sunday KFC from Barstool NYC tried to convince us that the Steelers have nasty ass, gross, haggard fans and these two pictures were pretty convincing proof.
