With the start of football season still a week away, we’re stuck sitting on our hands, waiting to satisfy our need for sports. (Sorry baseball, you’re boring.) Just a short time ago, 64 teams entered into the March Madness tournament filled with hopes of NCAA basketball glory. But after a lot of sweat, tears and bracket-killing upsets, we’re down to the lucky bastards of the Sweet 16. And we could think of no better way to celebrate this than, you guessed it, cheerleaders! This Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers will go head-to-head with the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII to determine who’s the best (or luckiest) team in the NFL. But we noticed one thing lacking on the Pittsburgh’s side – cheerleaders. So we’ve put together this massive collection of super hot Steelers’ fans to help Pitt make up for this obvious shortcoming. So, EliteXC wants to be a player. They want to be the UFC. They want to be a premiere MMA organization. That’s fine. I’m all for more MMA org’s popping up. It’s good for the sport, as they say. And more importantly, good for the fighters. In comparison to boxing, MMA fighters are getting paid like they’re playing professional tiddlywinks–a few million a year, at the absolute top of the heap (Couture, Liddell, Ortiz), while Mayweather and the Golden Boy bring in $30 million a fight. More organizations means more money and negotiation space for the fighters. They don’t have to ’settle.’

So excellent, you are helping, EliteXC. And while there’s nothing wrong with you wanting to be on top, could you please make that yearning seem a little less desperate? Because right now, you are straight embarrassing yourselves.

First, there is your ridiculous production scheme. Did you really feel it necessary to upgrade the ‘ring girl’ concept by putting dancers on the ramp in between rounds? Sure they’re hot, but honestly during a three round fight, I want to see the corners of the fighters when they take their one minute break. Also, am I the only one who notices those girls are dancing completely out of sync? And don’t even get me started on Bill Goldberg. Literally the worst commentator in sports history. (more…)

Game 6 of the 2008 NBA Finals begins in tonight (9PM EST) on ABC. The Celtics are heavy favorites, and in the event they win, you should be prepped to see the Celtics dances in all their glory bouncing around the court.

American Pie: Beta House is available on DVD December 26. Here is a leaked scene from the movie where the guys of Beta House have a kegger and invite “school girl” dancers.

$10,000 dare to strip on the subway? Check.

The “Pole-ite” girls (real names Laura Lee Anderson, Jessica Wu, Marissa Lupp and Isis Masoud) gave bystanders quite the show earlier this year, dancing, stripping, grinding and gyrating around the grimiest of locations: the New York City subway system.

Needless to say, the fearless foursome won the $10,000 prize from DareJunkies.com.

The MTA isn’t very happy about the attention this dare has garnered. From UPI:

“The last thing we want is for anyone to turn our subways into roving burlesque stages for crude exhibitionists,” said NYC Transit spokesman Paul Fleuranges. “While the rules don’t specifically state lap or pole dancing–what is depicted here is disorderly conduct.”

I’m not sure what planet Mr. Fleuranges is from, but I don’t know any man, woman or child who would have a problem with a roving burlesque show free of charge. More importantly the dare was done all in good fun – and $10,000! Not much is better than cute girls with great personalities, wildly free of any inhibitions, dancing around for the enjoyment of the people. They deserve a Gentleman’s boner.
