Jared Freid is an up-and-coming stand up comedian who I know through a mutual friend that went to Penn State. Anyway, he decided to frat out at the New York Comic-Con, which went down last week (10/13 – 10/16). The place is teeming with nerds, dweebs, and geeks – the perfect setting for a bro-out blowout ex-bro-se… too much? Yeah, too much. Starting today in New York City, Comic Con is making its’ way to the Javits Center until October 16th. September 25th was National Comic Book Day, a time to celebrate the joy that comic books have brought the world. With Comic-Con in full swing and Captain America The First Avenger out in theaters, it’s safe to say we’re not the only ones in skin-tight outfits air-punching and kicking our way through invisible villains. The San Diego Comic-Con started today (July 21st) and runs through Sunday. Last year, the four-day nerd nirvana had more than 130,000 attendees. Recently, it’s served as the ultimate teaser vehicle for upcoming projects, driving dweebs into a masturbatory frenzy that actually led to a stabbing – with a mechanical pencil – at a Q&A. Like most other “Cons”, Comic-Con has its fair share of booth babes and cosplay chicks, all of whom bare skin and grin while trying not to slip in the drool of awkward onlookers. Every summer nerds travel to San Diego, California for the Star Trek convention of the new millennium… Comic-Con. Not only do they get to check out the latest happenings in their favorite fantasy worlds, but they also get to see real life in-your-face cleavage.
