You’re back home for winter break and ready to show off your new partying abilities. Time to reconnect with the old crew from high school and tear sh*t up. I’d like to consider myself somewhat of a movie fanatic. I don’t know every detail of every movie ever released, but I’d like to think that I have my finger on the pulse of the cinema industry. Then, I read this article on FilmDrunk about the posters and trailer for Will Ferrell’s Spanish-language overly dramatic telenovela spoof, “Casa de mi Padre” and I figure I done discovered internet gold. Then, after some research, I realize I’m WAY late to the game. Like, 8 months late. EIGHT MONTHS. That’s a baby. A premature baby, but a f***ing newborn nonetheless. Yesterday morning, we received a package from MiO that contained its new “personalized energy drink” with a note from Thunder Dave encouraging me to “taste [his] thunder”. I realized he was referring to the Green Thunder flavor, the other being “Black Cherry”. I would’ve gone with “Red Dystopia” or “Red Pandemonium” or “Red Deluge”. Contrary to non-existent belief, The Misunderstoods are NOT a crazy hot up-and-coming band from London who shag on stage at gigs. They’re a comedy group that forms like Voltron to tickle the sh*t out of your funny bone. I personally know two of its members (M. Covino, R. Nivakoff) and I’m forced to wear diapers when we hang out. Anyway, they’ve produced a commercial for Doritos “Crash the Super Bowl” contest. Today must be Mets Appreciation Day at COED. Cricket is one of the most confusing games I’ve ever heard of, but it’s apparently a lot of fun. So much fun that this guy decides to call up one of those phone sex hotlines and start talking cricket. He’s only doing this as a joke, but the hooker has no idea. She genuinely starts asking him if he ‘wanks’ it to cricket, among other things. I’m just happy because she sounds British and also doesn’t understand the game’s f*cking rules.
