In this week’s edition of NFL Upon Further Review, Marshawn Lynch dials up Beast Mode again, Julius Peppers takes down a Chief with one arm, the tip drill goes horribly wrong for the Bears on a hail mary, a Packer linebacker flops, Kyle Rudolph juggles in a touchdown reception, a one-handed Hakeem Nicks catch was so good that Charles Woodson appreciated it, and Aldon Smith does the Barry Sanders celebration after his sack in the 49ers-Rams game. After another wild weekend in the NFL, the final seeds are set for this year’s playoffs. Twelve teams will enter the postseason with Super Bowl aspirations, all of which believe they have a realistic shot at making the Big Game. As most teams gear up for this “new” season, they believe all bets are off. Regular season records no longer matter. It’s what you do in this next 3-4 games that counts. So, if you’re a Chiefs or Seahawks fan and you think there’s not a shot in hell your team’s holding the Lombardi Trophy come February, you might want to take a look at this list of Super Bowl improbables.

You know that mode in Madden where you can pick a classic team for the past and pit them head to head with another classic team? ’72 Dolphins vs. ’07 Patriots, ’85 Bears vs. ’92 Cowboys, ’67 Packers vs. ’78 Steelers? Well, with bowl season kicking into high gear, we thought we’d overlook such travesties as the Meineke Car Care Bowl, and focus on bowl games we’d love to see played between two historically epic football teams.
