Skeletons of 17 Popular Cartoon Characters [ART]

You know that moment when something comes along and you think to yourself, “So genius yet so simple! Why hasn’t anyone done this already?” Well, that’s what cropped up in my bean when I saw these sketches from Michael Paulus via Buzzfeed. For some reason, we accept how cartoons look, but when you check out their bone structures, you… Click to read more

Charlie Brown Is A Creep, He’s A Weirdoooooo [VIDEO]

Fun fact: Friends, family, and everyone with normal vision calls me Charlie Brown. Keep in mind, I’ve never once said, “Good grief” nor have I ever owned a dog that even remotely resembles Snoopy and my sister is awesome and not obsessed with some piano playing p*ssy. However, I do have this woe-is-me attitude, which I guess Charlie̵… Click to read more

The Actual Ages of TV’s Most Popular Cartoon Characters

The Actual Ages of TV’s Most Popular Cartoon Characters

Last week’s episode of South Park celebrated Stan’s 10th birthday, which is a rarity for cartoon shows. Most refuse to acknowledge their characters’ ages. SP’s been on since ’97 so if Stan were 8 in that year, he’d be around 22 now. The producers of the Harry Potter franchise frantically try to wrap up the series before everyone got boobs and balls. Two and a Half Men will soon Be Three Men (which sounds creepy without “and a Baby” after it). Even though cartoon characters never appear to age, let’s take a look at how old they WOULD be if they did after the jump.

Voice acting is a gift but unfortunately, the average TV viewer doesn’t have a clue who voices their most beloved characters nor do they care. While most voice actors quietly cash their checks in anonymity there’s one who you recognize the instant you hear him chime in: H. Jon Benjamin. He has a new travel/comedy/man-on-the-street show premiering tonight on Comedy Central called Jon Benjamin Has a Van. To honor his pipes, we’re taking a look at 10 of the funniest characters he’s ever voiced. Check out our list after the jump!

6 Rarely Seen TV Pilots of Popular Animated Sitcoms [VIDEOS]

6 Rarely Seen TV Pilots of Popular Animated Sitcoms [VIDEOS]

Twenty-four years ago today, a crudely drawn animated sitcom about a dysfunctional family with yellow skin made its debut appearance on the Tracey Ullman Show and took an unsuspecting nation by storm – appearing on t-shirts, fanny packs and other junk around the globe! Because of this momentous occasion, we couldn’t help but think about the humble – and low-budget – beginnings of some of our other favorite animated sitcoms. Take an awkward trip down memory lane with COED’s list of rarely seen cartoon sitcom pilots after the jump!

The Voice of Space Ghost’s Zorak & Moltar Speaks Out

The Voice of Space Ghost’s Zorak & Moltar Speaks Out

C. Martin Croker used to voice both Zorak and Moltar on the 90′s animated parody talk show, Space Ghost Coast to Coast. COED was really interested in what he was up to, what future animated shows he may be working on, where George Lowe is today (Space Ghost’s voice over actor) and whether or not he enjoys showering with his helmet on. Please make sure you catch Croker at the Big Apple Comic Con hosted by Wizard World this May. For now, check out our interview, which contains clips from the show and a very provocative f***, marry, kill featuring Harley Quinn, Gravity Girl, and Wonder Woman after the jump!

Very Creepy “Los Simpsons” Sketch [VIDEO]

Very Creepy “Los Simpsons” Sketch [VIDEO]

There’s a damn good reason why no one at Fox Broadcasting has ever given the thumbs up to a live action version of The Simpsons that stayed true to the anatomy of the characters- it’s scientifically impossible and the amount of nightmares such a thing would deliver is inconceivable… but a Mexican sketch-comedy program has defied nature and opened up a Pandora’s Box upon an unsuspecting audience. This is what happens when you accidentally hit “SAP” on your television remote while watching The Simpsons on LSD! I don’t know what’s more frightening: the doll-like, lifeless stare of their buggy eyes or seeing a man painted yellow dressed as Marge struggling to walk in a dress. Watch this video monstrosity for yourself and pray something like this never happens to Futurama!

How To Create A Crappy Computer-Animated Film In 9 Easy Steps

How To Create A Crappy Computer-Animated Film In 9 Easy Steps

Seeing a full-length computer-animated movie 15 or so years ago was a rare thing indeed – if not a real treat for moviegoers – since not many studios had the budget or access to the utilities that made such animation possible. But sadly, nowadays it seems that the market is flooded by a sh*tstorm of crappy animated films. Quantity over quality is the name of the game in this business and just about anybody with a lackluster idea can stake their claim in the mediocrity-ridden world of computer animation – and that means you! Read COED’s guide to creating a crappy computer-animated film and avoid a straight-to-DVD release all together!

8 Characters That Need To Return For The New Thundercats Cartoon

8 Characters That Need To Return For The New Thundercats Cartoon

You know a television network devoted entirely to cartoons has just scraped the bottom of the idea barrel when they decide to re-imagine a classic cartoon from the golden age of animation – the rip roarin’ 80s! With the veritable trash on Cartoon Network such as Dude, What Would Happen?, Total Drama World Tour and Tower Prep, watching an all-new Thundercats series is comparable to finding a diamond in a pile of horse sh*t. With the show’s premiere drawing ever closer, fans wonder which secondary characters will get a 2011 overhaul, and which ones will be relegated to the pits of obscurity. Check out our list of classic Thundercats characters we’d love to see make a triumphant return after the jump!
