I didn’t watch the American Country Awards last night, but apparently I missed some serious cleavage from Kristin Chenoweth. The award-winning actress / singer gave reigning country music queen Carrie Underwood a run for her money. But, the real discovery here is Danelle Leverett, member of The Jane Dear Girls. On November 16, 1907, Oklahoma was the 46th state to enter the union. The state’s name is derived from the Choctaw words okla and humma, meaning “red people”, which these days will get you a nice slap on the wrist from PC types. As an East Coaster, I always thought of Oklahoma as the “second banana” to Texas, but not only do the Okies have two of the best college football teams this year, it’s apparently one of the best places to live when the zombie apocalypse hits. There is just something to be said for a babe with a slight twang in her voice.
