Just who in the holy hellscape is Alexander McQueen? Well, he was a British fashion designer who was chief designer at Givenchy before founding his own label. He won 4 British Designer of the Year awards as well as International Designer of the Year. Unfortunately, he passed in February 2010. But, his legacy still lives on as evidenced by the startling turnout of A-list celebrities at his Savage Beauty Costume Institute Gala held at the Met last night. We say, “startling” because we don’t even see this kind of top notch celebrity attendance at the Super Bowl, Grammys, Oscars, and Emmys combined. Don’t believe us? The proof’s in the pictures, my man. Check ‘em out after the jump!

Carmelo Anthony made his debut for YOUR New York Knicks last night at Madison Square Garden and as you’ll see from this video shot by a loyal COED reader the arena was extremely receptive to their newest addition! Get ready to hear the Wiz Khalifa parody “Stat ‘n’ Melo” for the next 4 months. Former Celtics all-star Kevin McHale has reportedly said the Knickerbockers are the team to beat in the Eastern Conference while Charles Barkely states New York isn’t a contender. After weeks of Melo-drama that included ridiculous rumors, speculation, and “confirmed” reports that Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony would land with the New Jersey Nets, we have absolute, 100% stone cold factual evidence the New York Knicks finally made a deal for the 4-time All-Star and Brooklyn native. E’erybody’s talkin’ about it, so the last thing you need from us is our 2 cents. That’s why we’re hitting the mute button and bounce passing pics of the knockouts known as the Knicks City dancers. See their pics after the jump!

Round One of The LeBron Hate Parade 2010 is in the books as he and his buddies shattered the Cavs in a demoralizing 118-90 victory that was nowhere near as close as the score indicates. The Heat are finally clicking and have won five straight heading into a west coast trip with stops in Utah, Golden State, and Sacramento. The smart money would suggest that the wins will keep piling up. See more reaction and analysis after the jump!

The NBA Playoffs, simply put, are awesome. In the next two months you’ll see more action than Mark Sanchez after an an SNL afterparty. That being said, even more action will take place in the Vegas Sportsbooks. For those of you who hope to crack the books, here are a couple of tips going into the trenches.

Throughout the majority of this NBA season, all of the Finals talk has been focused on only four teams, and really only three potential matchups – a Celtics vs. Lakers rematch, a LeBron vs. Kobe clash of the titans, and even an Adonal Foyle vs. DJ Mbenga bench big man battle on the blocks. But why is nobody bringing up perhaps the best possible head-to-head battle imaginable?

2008 was a year of great accomplishment for many professional athletes. For others it was a year of total FAIL! Sure, many failed on the field, but it was their idiotic actions in the off time that we will remember for years and years to come. From steroids and pot to the unfortunate DUI, let us remember: The Year in Sports: Substance Abuse Edition.

We’ve come a long way since the Dream Team of 1992. Bird and Jordan have been replaced by Bryant and James. And just because they play in the NBA doesn’t mean they’re the best. But at the Summer Games in Beijing this year, we stand a good shot at taking gold. And what better way to celebrate our chances than with super hot chicks? (Hint: There is… Click to read more
