New Year’s Eve, the sh*tty spin-off to Valentine’s Day, releases today (12/9). I know of 1 person who’s looking forward to it, and it’s my female roommate. The girls in the office have no intention of hitting up the theater. In fact, we’re all wondering how something like this gets made after the travesty that was V-Day. Is it really just an excuse to hang out with other stars? How about you do that on your own time? Oh, because it rakes in millions at the box office F*ck. “Girl Walks Into A Bar” follows a group of apparent strangers over one night across ten bars throughout Los Angeles. Zachary Quinto stars as a dentist who teams up with a feisty would-be assassin (Carla Gugino) to put the final touches on the plan to kill his wife. The film’s directed by Sebastian Gutierrez who also helmed “Elektra Luxx“, a story about a legendary porn star (played by Carla Gugino) that also included Emmanuelle Chriqui making out with the new Wonder Woman Adrianne Palicki. Last night, young Hollywood was out in full force for the premiere of Scream 4 at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre. ‘You will be Unprepared’ for all the hotness packed into Sucker Punch when it hits screens Friday in wide release. This is the latest film both written and directed by Zack Snyder (Watchmen, 300, Dawn of the Dead) as well as his first original screenplay. Love him or hate him, Zack knows how to direct some awesome action sequences. And with a cast of major babes, what more could you ask for? COED’s Most Anticipated Movies of 2010 hailed the film adaptation of “Arrested Development” as the most eagerly awaited release for this past year. So, what makes us want to see a movie? It could be our admiration for certain actors or directors, or it could be as simple as a bad-ass poster or tagline. Whatever the case may be, we’ve combed Variety’s Film Release Chart for the movies releasing in 2011 that could be on your “Best Of” list come this time next year. The A-Team releases on DVD and Blu-ray today. Unfortunately, it underwhelmed at the box office and failed to meet expectations for most fans. It’s another example of a Hollywood remake of a classic TV show that gets everyone super amped only to be disappointed with the end result. Why? Because for some odd reason studios seem to think they have to give the old formula a new twist. Too often it just doesn’t work. However, there’s one twist that would most definitely rock: AN ALL-FEMALE A-TEAM!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 murdered the competition last weekend, summoning more than $125 million from the depths of America’s bank accounts with an average of $30k per screen. It was the all-time sixth biggest-grossing opening weekend and a new franchise high. The Next Three Days might not see another three days after opening in the 5th position with only $6.5 million.
