It’s NBA playoff time and what better way to get into the action than by throwing down some wagers on the teams you think can take down the title.   Will LeBron’s ”Decision” pay off?  Will the old guard Celtics prove they are still the class of the East?  Is Derrick Rose poised to take his team all the way to the Finals?  Are Kobe and the Lakers ready to get to the finals for an amazing fourth straight year?  Do the Spurs have anything left in the tank?  Will Dallas finally make Mark Cuban’s dreams come true?  It should be an interesting ride. It’s important to note we didn’t include videos from press conferences. Players and coaches know what they’re stepping into when those happen. These post-game interviews feature players fresh off the court, the rink, or the field, often still in uniform, still out-of-breath, and still in the heat of the moment. As first semester comes to a close, students around the country wrap up final exams and head home for the holidays. For example, Fred Sanford saying, “You big dummy,” to Lamont Sanford in the TV show, “Sanford and Son.” Maybe you’re a kind of person who loves to hear Bart Simpson say, “Eat my shorts.” Nevertheless, lets take a look at 10 of the some of the best and worst catch phrases etched in your head.

Over the past two years, the talk around the NBA has centered around where LeBron James will play in 2010. Finally, that time is near. After July 1, LeBron, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and many other top superstars can be changing zip codes. Although some players such as Dirk Nowitzki, Amare Stoudemire and Paul Pierce have Early Termination Options (ETO) and are likely to remain with their respective teams, I’m including them in this list in case they do opt out, which will only add to the biggest free agent class in the history of sports.

On the totem pole of championship events, the NBA Finals is right there between the Indy 500 and the Fourth of July hot dog eating competition. Part of it is because nobody cares about the teams or by the time they’re ready to get invested into the Finals, the whole thing is over. Still, the NBA Finals used to mean something. It was the first must-see event of the summer when I was younger. So allow me to count down (or up) some memorable NBA Finals game.
