This past weekend, street fighter Kimbo Slice entered the Elite XC octagon and burst James Thompson’s cauliflower ear. It was bloody, exciting, and saved Kimbo from what was sure to be a loss.
Kimbo Slice, a former varsity football player, bouncer, and bodyguard, became famous via underground street fights posted on YouTube. He’d win his fights by fiercely bludgeoning his opponents, which turned the heavy-hitter into an over night sensation.
Kimbo decided to take his craft to the world of Mixed Martial Arts, and so far has a record of 2-0. On Saturday though, his weaknesses were exposed: Despite being a great street fighter and striker, Kimbo is out of his element on the ground. If an experienced opponent like Tito Ortiz takes him down, he’s potentially finished.
But there is another famous Mixed Martial Artist who is as inexperienced as Kimbo,ds but is generating buzz–former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar. (more…)
Has it finally happened? Are people finally ready to stop taking cheap shots at Britney Spears (both literally and figuratively) and start locking her up?
Maybe, according to the swarm of paps:
You would think it was the night of Princess Di’s accident the way all forms of media clustered around the ambulance housing Britney Spears, who was under the influence of drugs when she was picked up for psychiatric evaluation, following refusal to turn over custody of her kids to K-Fed’s bodyguard.
It’s disgusting how out of control this situation has become.
Instead of continuing to see Spears as a perennial punching bag how about we all look at her for what she really is: a complete mess with two children taking zero responsibility for her actions. To think people still stick up for her makes me sick; her family should feel ashamed and halfway responsible. Britney Spears needs to be locked up and forgotten about, not empathized with.
T.I. has once again put the rap back in rap sheet.
In 1996 16 year old T.I. was busted on federal crack dealing charges and given 7 years probation.
As a convicted felon with previous gun and drug arrests, he isn’t allowed to own a gun under federal law, let alone multiple guns like authorities found after a weekend search warrant was executed at his home outside of ATL.
According to news service reports, T.I.’s bodyguard was arrested last week after he allegedly purchased three machine guns, two silencers and a pistol for the rapper.
After his arrest, the bodyguard agreed to cooperate with investigators, which led to T.I’s Saturday arrest in a downtown Atlanta shopping center, just hours before he was to appear for a live taping of the BET Awards show.
According to reports, officials also uncovered numerous guns in T.I.’s car and home.
The multi-platinum rapper faces career-derailing prison time – to the tune of 10+ years in federal lockup.
Did T.I. plan on invading Iran with machine guns? Regardless of his motive by the time T.I. gets out of jail in 2018 gangsta rap will (hopefully) be dead anyway.
