Last week, Oklahoma and South Carolina got spanked and Stanford embarrassed Arizona. The LSU / Alabama game topped them all. We look ahead to this week’s game featuring the Gamecocks vs. Florida, Miss State and Alabama, Ohio State vs. Penn State, A&M vs. Baylor, and K-State vs. Mizzou.

With the NFL draft quickly approaching on April 22, outrageous rookie contracts and salaries are becoming a hot topic once again. When 21-year-old players who haven’t passed all their humanities courses are being guaranteed upwards of $30 to $40 million, it has become clear you don’t have to be a middle-aged Wall Street mogul to be a mega-rich anymore.

There is something special about getting drafted in the NFL. It’s like validation for the hours upon hours you put in working out, watching film, and just kicking the crap out of your opponents on the football field. The last guy in the draft will likely get league minimum- $325,000 but also the glory of the title Mr. Irrelevant.

There are some things that people like to be simple and easy to figure out: answers to the exam you didn’t study for, taxes, what your girlfriend really means when she says you can hang out with your buddies tonight, and why people still pretend that they are really looking for love on the Bachelor/ Bachelorette.

The Texas Longhorns destroyed the Texas A&M Aggies Thursday night and once again, Colt McCoy’s Girlfriend Rachel Glandorf destroyed us. As we broke back in October, this 21 year-old smokeshow runs track at Baylor and has become quite the camera magnet at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
