How many times have we heard the argument that a movie is awful because it’s unoriginal? Originality would seem like a very relative subject, but that’s not to say Hollywood’s brimming with great ideas. In fact, studios nowadays are opting to rehash successful, but tired, movie plots in the vein hope of making lightening strike twice. But just because a story has been done before doesn’t mean it can’t be used again to some great effect or improve upon the established formula. Over the years, Hollywood has raised the bar for deaths in movies. Before all it took was one gunshot or one stab and, BOOM, you’re dead. To avoid stagnation, deaths are starting to become more creative in movies. Whether its gory or wince-worthy, depressing or triumphant, a death can be very effective in provoking a reaction. However, sometimes that reaction is laughter and not always on purpose. That being said, here are a few deaths that, intentional or not, are ridiculous.
