July 20th is Moon Day, which commemorates the day man first walked on the moon. On 7/16/69, Apollo 11 launched from Cape Kennedy Space Center carrying Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr. Four days later, the Lunar Module, nicknamed the "Eagle", touched down on the moon's surface and Neil Armstrong proclaimed: "That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind".
