Assassin’s Creed: Revelations releases today (11/15), allowing players to once again play as the ancestors of Desmond Miles. While families can follow a lineage of military or public service, medical practitioning, politics, etc., Desmond inherits a bloodline like no other. He follows a family tree of assassins back to the twelfth century, including Altair and Ezio. While these two assassins fought for the same cause at different times, which of them was the superior killer? The only way to find out was to pit them against each other. We’ve already stabbed, shot, dismembered, impaled, poisoned, and bludgeoned hundreds of baddies in Assassin’s Creed and Assassin’s Creed 2. In Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood (out today, 11/16, on all major consoles), everything that made your stab-happy heart go aflutter in prior AC games gets turned up a notch, and Ubisoft has a few spring-loaded tricks up its sleeve, so watch your back.

Since not everyone is into 1000 different mind numbing point and click puzzle games, the iPod app developers are expanding more and more every day into actual console gaming. Using the original game as a jumping off point, software engineers are turning console blockbusters into mobile games. Just think, next time you’re falling asleep while you’re doing work, you can kill some time with an awesome game…instead of just counting the minutes to happy hour.
