The Creators Project is an initiative by VICE and Intel to find talented young minds who are pushing creative boundaries through technology in music, art, film and design. They were then given the chance to showcase their work and to engage an audience of millions at Coachella. The goal of the partnership was to create an enhanced, interactive musical experience through high-tech art installations. Check out the highlights after the jump!

Arcade Fire amazed the crowd of 100,000 with an encore performance to remember. With help from the bright young minds of Intel’s Creators Project the band released dozens of 8 foot white balloons into the crowd. Each balloon had a multi-colored LED light and were wireless synced to change color simultaneously to the beat of the band’s closing song “Ready to Start.” It’s hard to explain but the final product was mind blowing. We have a must-see video along with amazing hi-def pics after the jump!

With music-based video game franchises like Rock Band and Guitar Hero becoming more niche with their releases (Beatles, Aerosmith, Metallica, etc.) and titles like Michael Jackson: The Experience becoming more prevalent we thought we’d compile a list of other music acts that should make the leap to the digital domain, with some ideas about what kind of game they belong in. Read who made the final cut after the jump!

For anyone who follows Bruce Springsteen or Arcade Fire, (and that’s a lot of you) you might notice they have a mutual appreciation for each others music. Aside from being featured on the cover of SPIN magazine together, Bruce & Arcade Fire have shared the stage a couple of times, including performances for President Obama. Arcade Fire frontman, Win Butler, recently compiled a list of his top 14 Springsteen songs. How do Win’s ranking stack up against yours? Let us know after the jump!

A few things about Arcade Fire’s appearance on Saturday Night Live this weekend (watch it here on Hulu). #1: There are nine people in the band, how do they make money? Do the singer, drummer, guitar and bass player take 20% each and the two violinists and three keyboard players split the rest? #2: They sound great but check out how awkward the singer is, he kinda looks like the final boss on the internet.
