The very first issue of Rolling Stone magazine was published on November 9, 1967. In the debut issue, Jann wrote, “is not just about the music, but about the things and attitudes that music embraces.” During the 1980s the magazine began to shift focus towards being a general “entertainment” magazine. Music was still a dominant topic but there was increasing coverage of celebrities in television, movies and the pop culture of the day. The magazine also initiated its annual “Hot Issue” during this time. With it came sexier covers. To celebrate the anniversary of the mag’s premiere, we’ve pulled together its 39 sexiest covers. September 23rd is Celebrate Bisexuality Day. Bisexuals remain the single most curious phenomenon. I’ve argued ad nauseum with many friends about whether or not someone can be a “true” bisexual – does that mean they have to split time equally boning boys and girls? Where’s the scoreboard? Nepotism is a helluva drug. It’s rampant in just about all walks of life, but most noticeably in politics, sports, and showbiz. While some celebrity kids have a tough time living in the shadows of their larger than life parents (see Weston Cage, any of the Hanks kids), others learn from their ancestors to create their own fame. This is the premise behind Born To Be A Star, the new comedy about a corn-fed kid from the Midwest who finds out his parental units use their units to make skin flicks. Outside of T&A, what’s the sexiest part of a woman’s body? We gotta believe it’s the lips. When desperate times call for desperate measures, a pair of lips will do just fine. Actresses such as Angelina Jolie, Jessica Biel, and Carla Gugino have become well-known for their lips, but how do you make great lips even greater? Lipstick. And we know anytime something’s great, there’s usually a holiday or observance to celebrate it. Hence, National Lipstick Day (which is July 29th). I was having a pretty crappy day because of my hangover and then I got hit with this depressing curveball: According to Us Magazine, Angelina and Brad Pitt are going to get married sometime within the next few months. Now that the whole we’re-not-going-to-get-married-until-gays-can-get-married-too shtick is up, they’re finally capitulating.
Until today, I thought I had an honest-to-god chance that maybe I’d be able to able to hit that. She seems like the crazy, quirky type that might be down for a one-night romp that only a blogger could provide. Now, I’ll just have to be content looking at photos of her. May is bicycle month, not to be confused with “Bicycle Day” which is celebrated on April 19th. Since its inaugural year in 2001, AskMen’s rankings of the “Top 99 Most Desirable Women” features female stars their readers favor the most based upon attributes men want in a companion. After more than 5 million votes, their 10th annual list revealed a blend of fresh, new faces along with seasoned veterans like Gisele Bundchen and Angelina Jolie who’ve made it onto all 10 editions. Beyoncé emerged as “Woman of the Decade” by ranking high on the list nine times, making it to No. 1 in 2007. Read more after the jump!
