A Chat with Greg Gillis… aka Girl Talk

I was introduced to mash-up artist Girl Talk (Greg Gillis) at a roof top Beer-BQ in June. Now that I am attuned to the name, I’m hearing an increased number of people raving about his 2006 release Night Ripper.

Greg Gillis is a bit of an enigma to his casual followers. According to myth, Gillis was a bio-medical engineer by day, moonlighting by night jet setting to concerts and festivals (Coachella, Bonnaroo and next week’s All Points West) while quickly gaining an international following.
