With the twilight of 2011 upon us, it’s our job as internet gurus to take a look at some of the best and funniest from the past year. Obviously there are a bunch of submissions to go through, so I thought it was imperative that we set some groundrules. The first (and possibly most important) was the removal of anything Rebecca Black. Secondly, no political campaign videos were admitted because those are generally created (read: schemed) to go viral. The best viral videos of 2011, nailed it? Let us know in the comment section.

We’ve got quite the treat for yous guys. What is it about supercuts that makes them so enjoyable? Maybe it’s because it’s distilled and filtered down to video’s finest, most precious moments. No waste, no filler, no fluff. Just 100% pure entertainment. There were a sh*t ton of supercuts this year, but we’ve narrowed down the list to the following cream de la crop. The college football bowl season is completely out of control. We’d much rather see a playoff system implemented than seeing HALF of D-1 battle in games like the Belk Bowl. I have to say, though, if they do away with this system, we’ll definitely miss out on the additional cheerleaders. Last year, Amber Heard was the woman who wowed us most. The hotter version of Kristen Stewart continued to crush in ’11 despite the performance and critical reception of Drive Angry, The Rum Diary, and The Playboy Club. I know that the Russian airhorn ‘prank’ was staged, but that doesn’t stop the fact that it was hilarious. These pranks, however, are all for real. Break was kind enough to take all the videos they’ve been sent and make a compilation of pranks for us to enjoy. Be warned, as this video contains old women, rude awakenings, fun in the shower, saxophone players, and catching trays with your face. I have to admit, this compilation is missing a steadfast #1 but it doesn’t necessarily detract from the video overall. Check it out after the jump!

2011 was a mixed bag for movies, but most film fanatics would say it was yet another down year filled with misses rather than hits. Taking a look at our list of Most Anticipated Movies, there were only a handful that met or exceeded expectations. We can’t completely write off ’11 yet, as many of the best films release in December. But after seeing this supercut from YouTube user ‘hatinhand’, you’d think 2011 was unbelievably awesome. It took the user over a month of uploading and editing 166 films and 6 songs. There were plenty of omissions, but most of ‘em sucked, so no one’s getting teary-eyed over it. It’s hard not to like Sofia Vergara. She crushed the Emmys (like she did at the SAG Awards) the other night with her dress, her lips, her accent – we could go on para muchos anos. It’s funny she mentioned Lucille Ball when she presented an award at the ceremony – the similarities are undeniable. It’s like she’s the long lost granddaughter of Luci and Desi.
