It’s a drag race reunion for Vin Diesel and Paul Walker, as both actors have signed on to star in the next Fast and the Furious.
Wait a minute - aren’t Diesel and Walker a little too…uh…”famous” to revisit their roots, especially when those roots are a bit dried up (Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift wasn’t exactly a showstopper)? Diesel in particular even made a short cameo in Tokyo Drift; who goes from that cinematic “favor” to a starring role in the next part of a dying franchise?
Maybe it’s because DVD sales of anything Fast and the Furious-related is huge. Who doesn’t want to see glossy cars and hot babes in High-Definition? I’m no fan of the series by any means, but I understand its attraction.
They both have to be getting residuals off DVD sales - otherwise I see no reason why either star would stoop so low as to be involved in a fourth Fast and the Furious.
