Over the years, I’ve come to expect a lot from 2K Sports. Their games are always top-notch, ultra-realistic and super-connected to the actual sports the games emulate. Cheat! host, Kristin Adams has a serious hot girl resume. While in college at Texas Christian University, Adams (then with the last name, Holt) became a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Carissa Walford

Bodacious blond babe, Carissa Walford is the latest smokeshow to infiltrate the G4 arena, as guest host of Attack of the Show. The saucy Aussie has made a name for herself already by performing her AOTS duties almost entirely in a bikini. Which, when you have a practically perfect body, is definitely the best way to go.

Remember when Nintendo shied away from having any accessory that appeared violent or dangerous? Those days get blown away – literally – when you load a shooting game into your Wii and snatch hold of the Buckshot. Come on, how can you not go all Terminator 2 when you’ve got a pump action shotgun working? And with rubber grips to insure an easy caress and non-slip hold is a perfect cure to sweaty palms. This sure beats shooting at things with a Wii controller or some puny, hollow handgun.

So whether it’s Zombies or ducks or soldiers or civilians (nah, don’t shoot the civvies…), nothing beats the adrenaline rush of blowing them away with a pump action preceding a pull of the trigger.

Tech alert spoiler – it’s got a controller inside that works similar to the Wii’s Nunchuck. But it’s so much more a testosterone adventure having the trigger take care of the “A” button, and using the pump action to reload (accessing the “B” button).

And for those who can’t wrap their heads about the Buckshot coming in fire-engine red, there’s also a classic black edition. But who cares what color it comes in? Just as long as you can wrap your finger around the trigger, is what I say.

But after seeing all the nonsense at this year’s E3, figuring out which games to spend your precious, hard-earned dollars on can be quite a challenge. The other day I saw the commercial for Wii Sports Resort and I was somewhat excited for it. I’ve gotten so used to playing the regular Wii Sport, when I saw some of the new sports, I really wanted it. The athlete in me, really wants to play basketball on the Wii Sport Resort. I want to test out my shooting ability in the virtual world and see how it holds up.

Despite the fact that I’ve been playing and reviewing video games for years, I seriously, seriously suck at baseball games. Watching me play MLB 2K9 would send any serious sports-game fan into an uncontrollable fit of rage from my complete and total lack of skills. And that’s why I like The BIGS 2.

Building on The BIGS franchise, The BIGS 2’s over-the-top, arcade-style game play can cover-up even the worst player’s half-assed attempt at seeming athletic. In this latest release, 2K has juiced-up the “Become a Legend” mode with a fuller story mode that picks up after the “Rookie Challenge” from The BIGS, allowing you to create your player and follow him through from the Mexican minors all the way through to the Hall of Fame.

On top of that, they’ve added Season Mode, with full MLB schedules, stat tracking and roster management, which allows you to keep your fantasy team and your real team in sync. And the awesomely amped arcade action, like Legendary Moves, Batter’s Wheelhouse and Big Slam will make you feel like A-Rod after a trip to the Dominican Republic.

The BIGS 2 is available now on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP and Wii
