The purpose of this event is to transport the bulls from the off-site corrals where they had spent the night, to the bullring where they would be killed in the evening. Every year, between 200 and 300 people are injured during the run. We Crashed Steve Nash’s Showdown In Chinatown Soccer Match [29 PHOTOS]

On June 22nd, Steve Nash had his annual Showdown in Chinatown soccer match at the Sarah D. Roosevelt Park in NYC. Thanks to my friend Devin, who works at VitaminWater, we scored front row seats. The match brought out some of the top athletes on Earth together for a pick-up game of soccer in front of thousands of fans. Marcin Gortat, Brandon Jennings, Steve Nash, Grant Hill, Tony Parker, Giuseppe Rossi, Claudio Reyna and many other world class athletes participated. In the end Team Nash won 16-10 and New Jersey’s own (woop woop!) Giuseppe Rossi was crowned the Player of the Game. Check out the rosters and all the pics from the action after the jump.
