[PHOTOS] 17 Models of the 2011 SI Swimsuit Issue Revealed

We’re officially one step closer to knowing which stunning swimsuit model will own the cover of the 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. Friday night, SI unveiled the 17 featured models that will fill the pages of the overly-anticipated issue set to hit stands Tuesday, February 15th. There were a few surprises, most notably the absence of COED fave Daniella Sarahyba. But with returning veterans like Brooklyn Decker, Irina Shayk and Julie Henderson, alongside some of 2010′s hottest rookies and this year’s batch of newbies, 2011 is shaping up to be the sexiest edition yet.

Sam Bradford, the Rams first year quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner from the University of Oklahoma, can add another achievement to his resume: NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Thanks to a season in which he almost lead the franchise to its first playoff berth in 6 seasons, Bradford solidified himself as a leader and viable weapon. He now holds the records for most consecutive passes thrown without an interception by a rookie, most attempts by a rookie in NFL history, and most completions by a rookie in NFL history. SI Swimsuit Model Sexy TwitPics [298 Photos]

The 2011 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is available Tuesday, February 15th. The hype surrounding the mag’s release is reaching a fever pitch as everyone from last year’s cover model to Maroon 5′s Adam Levine has thrown out guesses as to which model will be in, and more importantly, ON the issue. We’ve been following the Eliza Kruger – Mark Sanchez saga very closely. Why? Well, we’re trying to figure out what made her so appealing to the Jets second year QB. For those who don’t know, Eliza’s a 17 year old high schooler from Connecticut who Sanchez befriended towards the end of the season. He gave her tickets to the season finale against Buffalo, hung out with her at Nobu in NYC, and apparently slept with her at his house in New Jersey. Sanchez was hoping she’d keep things under wraps,  but like most underage chicks, Eliza is super proud of the situation and has been telling/showing e’erybody about their tryst.
