January 23rd is National Pie Day! The American Pie Council created this special day in 1986 to commemorate Crisco’s 75th anniversary of “serving foods to families everywhere.”bake, cook, and eat all of your favorite pies. Since the APC encourages everyone to give a pie, we thought we’d give you The Girls of American Pie. The raunchy teen / college sex comedy franchise began in 1999, a time when Napster ruled and Columbine High School was changed forever. Since the uproarious original, SIX MORE SEQUELS have followed: American Pie 2, American Wedding, Band Camp, Naked Mile, Beta House, and Book of Love. January Jones currently plays suburban housewife and mother Betty Draper in AMC’s Mad Men and is also well known for her role as Cadence Flaherty in 2003′s American Wedding. She also had supporting roles in Anger Management, Love Actually, and Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights. In We Are Marshall (2006), she played the role of Carol Dawson, wife of football coach William “Red” Dawson. Maxim ranked her #82 on the their Hot 100 Women of 2002. She also appeared on the cover of “The Hot Issue” of British GQ magazine in May 2009 and later appeared in on the cover of the November 2009 issue of GQ in the U.S. She’ll star in the thriller film Unknown starring Liam Neeson, and as of publish, will play Emma Frost in the X-Men spin-off, X-Men: First Class. The Ball Inside a Guinness Can Explained

If you’ve ever cracked open a can of Guinness, you’ve probably wondered “What’s the deal with that little plastic ball floating around inside?” Well, wonder no more. The little plastic ball called a “Widget” was first patented by the Guinness company in 1969 in effort to provide the optimal ‘head’ on their thick and creamy stout, which is less fizzy than regular lager beers like Bud Light.

Following a re-occurring stint on NBC’s Scrubs, she was nominated for Worst Supporting Actress at the 2004 Golden Raspberry Awards for her performance in My Boss’s Daughter. She actually won a Razzie for her role in Alone In The Dark. She most recently appeared in the January/February 2010 issue of Playboy.

In August 1999, she was in Playboy then was featured in Maxim in 2000 and 2003 and later was Maxim’s cover girl in June 2008. She most recently was among the cast of the sixth season of Dancing with the Stars, partnered with Derek Hough. As far as the results from our Cheerleaders / Hot Fans vote, foxy Steelers fans beat out the ravishing Ravens cheerleaders 73% to 27%, the Jets flight crew flew past the Pats pom pom pushers 61% to 39%, pretty Packers chicks crushed the fine Falcons cheer squad 68% to 32%, and the sexy Sea Gals did what their players couldn’t, defeating Sarah Spain and other hot Bears girls 68% to 32%. Texas Ends Kansas Jayhawks’ 69 Home Court Win Streak FTW!

The #10 Texas Longhorns beat the #2 Kansas Jayhawks bringing a painful end to the current longest running home court winning streak in NCAA basketball. The win also marks the first time the Jayhawk-giant-killing Longhorns have ever won at Allen Fieldhouse.
