Despite having a flair for zany kid comedies, Robert Rodriguez knows how to make a movie sexy.  From Desperado and Sin City to the first two Grindhouse films, Rodriguez has made an art out of assembling some of the hottest actresses, both in their career and in physical appearance.  As we’re sure you’ll agree from this post, Machete promises to be nothing less than the hottest film of Summer 2010.

Jessica Alba as Sartana

Jessica Alba teams up with director Robert Rodriguez for the first time since 2005 when she played the sultry Nancy Callahan in Sin City.  This go round, Jessica plays Sartana, a beautiful Immigrations Officer torn between enforcing the law and doing what is right.  What’s right for us is Jessica’s back sporting her pre-baby body and with any luck we’ll see her sporting that famous Jessica Alba Bikini Ass pose.

Michelle Rodriguez as Luz

We’ve always thought of Michelle Rodriguez as a looker, but we’ve never seen her look as sexy as she does playing Luz, a taco-truck lady with a rebellious spirit and revolutionary heart.  She claimed in a recent interview, “Oh my God, you’ll have images that you never forget as long as you live!” Laughing, she added: “I don’t know if that’s good or bad?!”  Well we don’t know either, but judging by the trailer, Michelle Rodriguez in tight black leather can only be a good thing.

Lindsay Lohan as April Benz aka The Sister

Despite being a constant wreck, we still love us some Lindsay Lohan.   After spending a month in the clink, Lindsay returns to the screen as April Benz, aka The Sister, a socialite with a penchant for guns” and “a nun with a gun.  We don’t expect this role is too much of a stretch for the beautiful Blo-han as she has always made knives look damn sexy.

Rose McGowan as Cherry Darling

Rose McGowan reprises her role as Cherry Darling from Rodriguez’ Grindhouse movie Planet Terror.  Although, this time, Cherry’s a very small part, we expect very big cleavage.

Elise and Electra Avellan as Nurse Mona and Nurse Lisa

You might remember the awesomely voluptuous Avellan twins as the Crazy Babysitter Twins from Grindhouse.  In real life they’re actually Robert Rodriquez’ ex-wife / producer’s nieces from Mexico. Who knew nepotism could be so sexy?
