Last week, Harrah’s flew myself and several other quality bloggers (including our friends over at Askmen, Guyism, Asylum, and BroBible) to Vegas to experience the Diamond Life. From beginning to end it was a wild ride and I’m still pretty impressed that I ended it without any major damage (to Planet Hollywood or to my body). The guys over at Harrah’s wanted to give us a taste of their Total Rewards Program, (a program designed for their high rollers who come to Vegas to do some serious gambling).

Brew Review: Stella Artois

On the rare instance I make it to Happy Hour, my choice of beer is usually one that can take the edge off without being too expensive (and complex) or too cheap (and cheap-tasting). I’d say eight times out of ten, Stella Artois does the job. The pride of Belgium pours a light golden color with plenty of frothy head and bubbles; a grassy, citrus scent gives way to a smell of slightly skunked beer, which isn’t very attractive to say the least. Still, its distinct stink is similar to almost every Euro Pale Lager I’ve encountered, so methinks its hereditary…

As long as there have been dorm rooms, there have been dorm room posters. Some of these posters have more staying power than others, however, and many of them have grown to be so popular that it’s literally impossible to visit a college campus without seeing them. Earbuds Are Causing Hearing Loss

Hearing loss is on the rise, especially in teens, according to a new study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. Rather than letting your ear process sound naturally, via your pinna (outer ear), to your ear canal & then to your ear drum, most conventional headphones and especially earbuds pipe sound directly down your ear canal.
5 Beers with Crazy Ingredients
We’re sure you’ve already seen fruit in beer. Even things such as coffee and chocolate are more commonplace these days than they were years ago. But what about vegetables in beer? Or chilis in your suds? Some brewers even create ales aged in wine barrels, which take on Cabernet Sauvignon flavors with sour tendencies. Some of these might be excellent, while others could be a complete train wreck. It’s up to you to decide.

One of the best things about summer in NYC is the numerous free concert series that take place virtually daily . Case in point, the Gone to Governors series at the beach @ Governors Island. Last Saturday, I made the short trek out to the island to catch Arizona’s Miniature Tigers and Neon Indian from my hometown, Austin, Texas. Unfortunately, I was still on the ferry when Mini Tigers kicked off their short 6 song set, but from what I could hear, they sounded damn tight. I found the next two acts to be a little less than good, but found myself very happy holed up in the ‘Captain’s Club’ sipping on a free Bushmills or six.
