It’s a big weekend for movie premieres — if you’re a Twilight fan. Otherwise you’ve got your basic action film,  your basic different minorities get married and hilarity ensues film, and your even more basic loser somehow gets the hot girl film. While it’s doubtful any of these weekend flicks will go on to become award winners, they will certainly fulfill your weekend quota for drama, laughter, and Iraq Invasion references.

Matt Damon is back in action in this story exploring the events leading to the Iraq Invasion. When he uncovers faulty intelligence, he goes on a rogue operation to track down the suspected weapons of mass destruction in the unstable region named, The Green Zone. Action packed with more than a hint of reality.

Both fathers go at each other and its any ones guess if they will survive for the big day. Rom-com starring Ugly Betty star, America Ferrera.

Mother

An elderly mother tries her best to keep her easily led son out of prison and away from criminal elements. When he is arrested for the murder of a young girl, his mother does as much as she can to prove his innocence, whilst battling with uncooperative officers who are just looking to close the case.

Remember Me

Twilight star (well at least among teen girls!), Robert Pattinson plays a young rebellious New Yorker, who has a turbulent relationship with his father, Pierce Brosnan. After meeting a girl with similar family problems, he begins to fall in love and find meaning to his life. I can think of better ways to spend an hour and a half!
