And the Academy Award for Best Sex Scene Goes to…

Ever hear of a little film called Porky’s or Porky’s II? What about naughty classics like Scott Baio’s Zapped? How about Blame it on Rio? These were all movies made once upon a time when Hollywood gave us something that we really want- beautiful people getting naked and having sex.

Hollywood seems to have forgotten that the American male (and even the female) loves to watch people having sex. Yes, there is porn, but there are some who claim to be anti-porn (crazy, but true) and are left without a visual sexual outlet. So when Hollywood is kind enough to include some extracurricular naughtiness in mainstream films than even the closet voyeur can be satisfied (and it makes those stupid chick flicks bearable too).

There are some films in the last decade that were brazen enough to include some down and dirty moments and we here at COED were more than happy to watch and review all of them in order to bring the best of the naughty right to you. So without further ado, the nominees for best sex scene over the last decade are…

A History of Violence (2005)

This film can make you feel naughty and give you the desire to kick someone’s *ss all at the same time. When Edie (Maria Bello) walked out in that cheerleader outfit men everywhere where wishing that they could be Tom (Viggo Mortensen). The ensuing 69 scene was the first time I cinematic history that that particular dirty deed was shown in a non-porno American film. If that was not enough to get this film nominated, the more violent, slap-happy banging on the stairs would do the trick.

Unfaithful (2002)

Diane Lane is smoking hot, so hot that we can forgive seeing as much of Olivier Martinez as we did in this film. The scene where she gets busy in the bathroom while her friends are in the café will put you in the mood anytime. If that scene is not enough for you there are plenty others throughout this film to tickle your- well, you know.

Mulholland Drive (2001)

If you are looking for a horrible movie to watch you can’t do much better than Mulholland Drive- this movie stunk. That being said it receives a nomination for the action between Laura Elena Harring’s Rita and Naomi Watts’s Betty. When it comes to lesbian action these are two that any man would be glad to watch. Did we mention the whole topless thing?

Y Tu Mamá También (2001)

The gorgeous Maribel Verdu earns this movie the nomination. She is smoking hot as the older woman that teaches two guys the ways of love. To be 17 and tutored in sex by a 28 year old like her- any guy that says it was not a dream of his is lying or gay. However, the fact that it involves two other guys makes it a dark horse candidate.

Crank (2006)

Action films do not get recognized by the Academy very often so it is only appropriate that they be represented here. This film starring Jason Statham and Amy Smart has one of the naughtiest, most primal sex scenes in recent cinema history. In order to stay alive, Statham’s character has to keep his adrenaline pumping. Pressed for options he bends over his girlfriend, the sexy Amy Smart, and takes amidst a group of Japanese tourist. At first she tries to fight it, but when she gets into it- she gets into it. Whether or not Amy Smart can act is still up for discussion, but this woman must be a great lay.

And the Academy Award for Best Sex Scene goes to…

Crank! This movie gave us sex- not making love, but sex; a naughty, hardcore, semi-naked Smart and thankfully only a momentary shot of Statham’s behind. For all the bare breasted naughty women in this movie we can throw the women a bone.
