"Ridiculous" is a relative term. All beliefs can be construed as ridiculous depending on the criteria used to make that judgment. Continental shift theory used to be perceived as ridiculous. Let me be clear: I'm not defending the beliefs featured. I hold none of them. The comment is simply the reason why I did not read the article. Yes, I just Stumbled into it.

Evolution is an actual phenomenon. It happens in nature and has been recorded happening. Darwin's theory of natural selection is the theory that best explains this natural phenomenon. Creationism is not a SCIENTIFIC theory but a creation story (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creation_myth). The key difference is that the former has supporting evidence and explanatory power and the latter has neither.

Belief in creation is no more ridiculous than belief in evolution – both are theories, neither has proven false, although according to the research I have done, it is a greater step of faith to believe in evolution than creation. I'm sick of people who teach and accept evolution as a fact when it is not.

rapture isn't actually in the bible, that is just the way some folk interpret it. And if I was running a govt. scam to divert money, a trip to the moon would do the job just fine. Fuck tin hat wearing conspiracy theorists and their paranoid manipulations that take advantage of the stupid people in society. For some reason, they think that despite a plethora of logical evidence that disproves their theories, one unanswered question must mean they're bogus theories are somehow right. It's disgusting. There is no Illuminati, hasn't existed for years. If it did, it certainly wouldn't be made up of important politicians, and if it was, they certainly ain't doing a good job at achieving their "new world order" goals.

Here's the thing: conspiracy theorists are constantly proven wrong, but don't accept it. They just keep going and going on with their paranoid delusions. I mean some of the most influential of these guys believe the Illuminati are a bunch of reptilian or alien creatures. LOL. Fucking retards.

The ability to criticize our media and think for ourselves is important and a smart thing to do. But to consistently ignore fact after fact, proof after proof, and instead believed some farfetched outlandish alternative, is just plain stupid.
