College Football Week Eight Preview: Cheerleader Edition
October 22, 2009 by jaywilli

With Week 8 coming at you at full speed this weekend, we will take a look at the first BCS top ten rankings of the 2009 season. While Bama fans would probably prefer the AP poll since their Crimson Tide have taken over the top spot, we here at COED are more interested in the BCS because it makes us think of Bottomless Cheerleading Squads…

No. 1 Florida (6-0) at Mississippi State (3-4)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 6:30 p.m. ESPN (HD)
Poor Mississippi State. They’ve already been beaten by a surprising Auburn team, a dangerous Georgia Tech team, a formerly ranked Houston team, a conference contending LSU team, and now they have to get plowed over by the top ranked Florida Gators and then in two weeks will promptly be stomped out by No. 2 Alabama. Man, that sucks.

No. 2 Alabama (7-0) vs. Tennessee (3-3)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 2:30 p.m. CBS (HD) / Online
Bama has moved into the top slot in the AP Poll, but still lingers just behind Florida in the BCS. So it seems almost certain that they will take their hatred of the Harris Pollers out on Lane Kiffin and the mighty Vols. Kiffin’s crew put up a good fight against Florida in Gainesville, so how will they fare when they take off their shoes in Saban’s backyard?

No. 3 Texas (6-0) at Missouri (4-2)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 7:00 p.m. ABC *1 (HD) / ESPN-GP
Texas took care of business by dismantling Oklahoma’s hopes for a top tier bowl game, all while securing their bid to remain on the cusp of the national title game when Bama and Florida surely meet in the SEC title game to determine their opponent. Expect a good fight from Missouri, but Texas is likely to remain unbeaten heading into Week 9.

No. 4 Boise State (6-0) at Hawaii (2-4)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 10:00 p.m. ESPN-GP / KTVB / Oceanic PPV (HD)
This is awesome for Boise State. Not only have they slithered their way up to No. 4 in the rankings, but they also get a fully paid vacation out to the exotic island of Hawaii (by the way, why aren’t Hawaii’s cheerleaders much hotter?) as they are expected to stomp the Warriors out.

No. 5 Cincinnati (6-0) vs. Louisville (2-4)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 2:30 p.m. ESPNU (HD)
For the first time…ever…Cincy is in the top 5 and ranked a lot higher than the disappointing Ohio State Buckeyes. The surprising Bearcats have manhandled the opposition to the tune of a combined 244-86 combined score in their six wins on the season.

No. 6 Iowa (7-0) at Michigan State (4-3)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 2:30 p.m. 6:00 p.m. BTN (HD)
The Hawkeyes look to continue their perfect season as they travel to East Lansing. Already with impressive wins over Penn State, Michigan, and a dangerous road win at Wisconsin, senior linebacker Pat Angerer would love to take out his pent up anger on Sparty.

No. 7 USC (5-1) vs. Oregon State (4-2)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 2:30 p.m. 7:00 p.m. ABC *1 (HD) / ESPN-GP
USC survived a goal line stand last week at Notre Dame and wrapped two impressive road wins over two ranked opponents. So what is their prize? That’s right – a date at home in Southern Cal with a perpetual thorn in their side – Oregon State.

No. 8 TCU (6-0) at No. 16 BYU (6-1)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 6:30 p.m. Versus (HD)
The two top squads in the Mountain West Conference will put their perfect conference record on the line along with bragging rights for the best three-letter acronym. TCU heads up north to Mormon Land and will have to leave their girlfriends and cheerleaders behind if they wish to keep them for themselves.

No. 9 LSU (5-1) vs. Auburn (5-2)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 6:30 p.m. ESPN2 (HD)
LSU is coming off a bye week after a tough home loss under the lights in the bayou. Auburn is reeling after their first two losses of a surprising season. Expect the Tigers from Louisiana to get back on track and teach the Tigers from Alabama a lesson with a violent beat down.

No. 10 Miami (FL) (5-1) vs. Clemson (3-3)
Saturday, Oct. 4, 2:30 p.m. (ABC *1 / ESPN *7) (HD) / ESPN-GP
Jacory Harris looks to keep his name in the Heisman conversation after another strong effort last week in a big win over UCF. This week, the U takes on a Clemson team that somehow lost to a pathetic Maryland team a few weeks back – so this could get pretty ugly early if Harris wakes up on the wrong side of the bed…or with the wrong girl.

Is it just me, or is USC the only school that still beleives Cheerleaders should have more than an A cup?
