Hey everybody, it’s 09.09.09! Seriously – all the numbers in the date are nine! You know, this kind of thing only happens once every 4.3 billion years, or something like that. So it’s no surprise that pretty much everyone is taking advantage of today’s highly marketable date. In fact, there’s so much going on that there’s no chance we could cover everything properly. So instead, here’s a whirlwind tour of everything that happening on this oh-so-special day, September 9, 2009!

• The entire remastered Beatles catalog is being re-released.

• Also, not coincidentally, Beatles Rock Band was released this morning.

• Urlesque is having “A Day Without Cats,” which is exactly like every day on COED.

• Buzzfeed, on the other hand, is having a No Cat Day Protest! And will be posting something cat related post every hour, which is what they do every day already, so I’m not sure why that’s special…

• The animated movie, 9 is coming out today. (Duh.)

• The US men’s soccer team is going up against Trinidad and Tobago

• Apple’s announcing more stuff for you to spend the money you don’t have on. (Hint: new iPods, software update, Beatles on iTunes, blah, blah, blah.)

• Tennis hotties, Melanie Oudin and Caroline Wozniacki go head-to-head in the US Open Quarterfinals

• Oh yeah, and President Obama is giving his big speech on health care tonight.
