Cheerleaders of the 2009 NCAA Football Preseason Top 10
August 7, 2009 by COED Staff

Hell yes! Hell yes! Hell. Yes. College football season is almost here, people! We weren’t even sure if we could make it all the way until September, but after seeing USA Today’s preseason Top 25, we’re getting excited. And to help bump up the enthusiasm even more, we’ve compiled the hottest cheerleader pics from the Top 10 schools for you to drool over between now and kick-off time.
1. Florida
With college superstar, Tim Tebow sitting high in the QB saddle, Florida stands a good chance at being the first NCAA team to land consecutive BCS titles. We pity the teams that try to trifle with the Gators this year.

2.Texas
After getting blue-balled from the Big 12 game title last year due to a tiebreaker, Texas is gearing up for a big year of kicking ass, taking names and scoring touchdowns. And with Colt McCoy gunning the ball, there’s no question the Longhorns can do exactly what they set out to do: win!

3.Oklahoma
As the runner-up in last year’s BCS, expect Oklahoma to come out with guns blazing, with their sights set on whooping some Texas hide. (And everybody else, BTW…) Heisman Trophy QB Sam Bradford teams with Jermaine Gresham and Trent Williams, all focused on scoring a title this year.

4. Southern California
Having moved down in the rankings this year from #2 to #4, Southern California hasn’t played for a national title in four years. But with some new players in the line-up, like Matt Barkley and Mitch Mustain, SC has a chance at BCS glory.

5. Alabama
While not looking shabby by any means, Alabama comes into the season a little shaky, as they still have not settled on a QB. But with some welcome returns on both offense and defense, the Crimson Tide are one man away from having a competitive season.

6. Ohio State
Fighting to secure a third title-game appearance in three years, the Buckeyes are led by sophomore QB, Terrelle Pryor, whose impressive gameplay makes Ohio a fun team to watch.

7. Virginia Tech
With a big jump in the rankings, from the #14 slot all the way up into the Top 10, at #7, Virginia Tech’s QB, Tyrod Taylor takes over exclusively, after sharing the job last year. He’ll be working hard to land the Hokies another ACC title this year.

8. Penn State
After a devastating last-second loss to Iowa last year, Penn missed the BSC title-game by inches. (Ok, they did go to the Rose Bowl…) Despite the fact that they still have some slots to fill, the Nittany Lions will be pushing hard for a title-game this year.

9. LSU
Breaking into the Top 10 this year, after having not been ranked at all last year, LSU is looking to retake the SEC West this season. They return with Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson as QBs, and a solid defensive line-up to help keep things interesting.

10. Mississippi
Sure, they are coming in at #10, but remember that Mississippi was the only team to beat national champs, Florida last year. And this year, they’re looking damn good, with a chance to make some serious headway in the Southeastern Conference’s Western Division.
