Brock Lesnar Acted Like a Classless Punk

Brock beat up Frank Mir something pretty bad.

He THEN proceeded to: threaten ring security, flip off the crowd, curse and scream at his defeated opponent, and yell “F@$k you in the ass” to Frank Mir’s family. Even in the interview, as he received loud boos for being EVERYTHING that the MMA sport has worked to prevent, we kept saying that he loved the boos.

Hey Brock, you are not in the WWE anymore. You are not fighting Papa Shongo. You, in one night, set the MMA world back 10 years. Brock is everything that no one wanted to see in MMA, a big burly white trash over-steroided douchebag who has no respect for the discipline and sport of martial arts.

Go home Brock. Bang your 50 year old-looking wanna-be stripper wife, and go back to WWE. You are going to ruin a sport that has worked too hard to get where it is. Even Kimbo had better ring generalship and respect for the sport.

Please go ride your Harley without a helmet. I never thought I would say this, but hopefully Kimbo gets through TUF and brings some class back to the heavy weights.

UPDATE:

By now, everyone has had time to cool off, yours truly included. It is important to note several things. Brock has apologized, though half-hearted and a little more of a business apology than a personal one. We also received a phone call claiming potential defamation from Brock Lesnar’s people. Charming.

The facts are plain and simple. Before every fight, the participants are asked inflammatory interview questions. It is designed to inspire the casual MMA fan to fork over $44 USD for the PPV broadcast. No fight, could have POSSIBLY had badder blood than more smack than the last Tito Ortiz/Ken Shamrock fight. Hands down, no arguments. At the end of that fight, after some mild showmanship from Tito – nothing campared to Brock’s hissy fit, Tito and Ken hugged and spoke well of each other. Whatever drama the Lesnar camp is referring to, when they speak of Frank Mir’s comments, can only shadow in comparison in the aforementioned press sh*t-show. Frank Mir made comments and Brock Lesnar made comments. Brock won by face-smashing. The other facts are that Brock would note touch gloves at the beginning of the fight – ok I guess. At the end of the fight, Brock: flipped off the crowd, violated sponsorship agreements, got in Mir’s bloody face and yelled at his family. These are facts.

To flip off a crowd that paid money to see you fight and to get in your downed opponent’s face – is unsportsmanlike and classless.

To act like a spoiled child (though a 300lb child) and stomp around the ring because you “aren’t getting the respect you deserve” – makes you a punk.

Respect is earned. Yes Brock Lesnar, you hold the title. You have also fought under 10 fights. At 10 fights, you can make the respect argument. In the meantime, wave to the crowd, please the sponsors, shake hands and kiss Dana White’s ass for handing you the UFC Heavyweight title. You have defended well so far, but wait for 10 fights and respect will come.

Oh yeah, threats for calling you a classless punk when it is justified…not a good start.

UFC has amazed me in regards to sportsmanship. Countless times I have seen people beat others down, but than help them up afterwards. Brock couldn’t bump gloves before the match. Even after the match he showed his true d-bag self as he yelled at the family of the guy that handed him his one loss. Brock needs to get over the fact that Mir beat him in his first match. I come from MN and even I find it hard to cheer for the “hometown hero” that continually shows himself as a jackass.

Lesner said some bad things to Mirs family. This guy does not have any idea who these people are or where they come from. Talk like that could place Lesner his wife and child in harms way. Im not sure why this guy would do something this stupid. I will never see this guy as a champion in a sport that is all about respect. Lesner shows no quality as a champion or anything that has to do with MMA. People make mistakes but this was no mistake. He planned acting out like this like child who is mad. What was a great card turned to shit cause this guy had a hissy fit. Dana White watched this 265 pounds of bitch running around talking about screwing his wife. Wow all I can say is this guy will never see one dollar of my money put up to watch anything he is involved with.

Frank Mir was doing ok in the stand up until this fat fuck had 2 bring him down gorilla style.. Seriously, set the MMA world back 10 years? I guess fighting for money is a civilized endeavor if it is done in an eight sided ring surrounded by chain link fence and guys help each other up after they beat each other up. Sorry dude, stop smoking the crack pipe and get your brain healthy so you can see the world for what it is. MMA is barbaric. That is the appeal. It is the same shit people have done for thousands of years: the sport of combat for glory. There is absolutely nothing classy about it. That is the best part.

Ok – he wouldn’t shake hands at the bell. A lot of guys do that I guess, but none of the TOP Card guys. I wanted Brock to win, but when I saw how he was at the end. I literally was sick to my stomach. When he threatened the ring security, I felt like I just saw Santa Claus molest a kid on his lap. It was pretty brutal. His reaction and pointing at Mir’s family literally made me change the channel that I paid $40 for.

I know that everyone on the net is defending his douchebaggery, but he did some real damage to the UFC. I am sure that insuring him is going to be a little more difficult now, not to mention his little “F&^K Bud Light, because they don’t pay me!” I am sure Dana White spent some time on the phone with that one. His half-hearted apology out today on youtube seemed more of a business decision than it was sincere.

Everyone says that he deserved to flip out, but you know what – no, he doesn’t. He is getting paid a LOT of money, as does any other athlete, and any crap that comes with that is part of the job. When Artest jumped into the stands to beat up the crowd, no one said he deserved to get it out of his system then? Brock’s temper tantrum cost Dana White and the UFC a lot of the cred that they have worked so hard for…establishing MMA as a mainstream sport.

Brock should be kicked out of the UFC. Not only does the UFC represent class, but Mixed Martial Arts foundation to everything and every style of fighting begins with respect and class.
Clearly Brock has neither, and I will never spend money on a card that Brock Lesner is on EVER AGAIN!!!

I’m still trying to figure out how this is considered some gentleman sport based on class. you are locked in a steel ring and the way you win is to beat the shit out of the other guy. Cmon this aint fucking golf guys. How many times have you shaken a guys hand after he just whipped your ass in a bar fight? Even Dan Henderson who is supposed to be a UFC GREAT said “I know when a fighter’s out. I knew he was out when I [first] hit him. That [second punch] one was just to shut him up a bit.” Now this is a guy who has been around for years and that’s his take. Did Brock do anything illegal? Because alot of people in here are pretty butt hurt over something really stupid. If Brock doesn’t want to touch gloves or he wants to talk some shit after the match (that he won) thats his choice. None of these guys are obliged to act like anything so they shouldn’t have to. As for being a “champion”, there is only ONE thing that makes you a champion and thats the belt that Brock is holding right now.

as far as im concerned, if mir didnt run his mouth every second he got infront of a camera about lesnar i dont think there would have been as much bad blood. lesnar was there to prove a point to mir and to shut him up. did you not watch the post-fight interviews where lesnar apologized? fuck off with yr “lesnar is a classless punk” bullshit, he earned the right to talk shit to ANYONE he wants after that fight.

Don’t really get the mimimimi comment, but I will have to look that one up.

Mir talked as much Lesnar did, except Lesnar beat him in epic fashion. In truth, if Brock has just gotten up and did the normal ring run and wave to the crowd, we would be talking about how he MAN-HANDLED one of the better technicians in MMC Heavy weight history. Instead, even the mainstream press is talking about how MMA is just another brutal bloodsport. THAT is the problem. The damage to the sport is outshining the damage he did to Mir.
