AXE Instinct Power Of Leather Launch Party [Photos]

Last night, after hitting the New York City screening of Bruno (which was funnier than expected – and we expected it to be hilarious), COED stopped by the AXE Instinct Power Of Leather Launch Party at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square.

Here is the break down…

For the first two hours, DJ AM was up on stage providing the music for the night. He played an eclectic mix and his timing and intuition for music selection based on the mood of the crowd were spot on.

Celebrities were out in full force: I was lucky enough to sit at the table of event host (and former COED cover guy), Pete Wentz, his wife Ashlee Simpson, along with their friends Reggie Bush and girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

FYI, Kim Kardashian is much hotter in real life (if that is even possible), I will confirm that Ashlee Simpson is definitely a smokin’ trophy wife. Other notable people in the crowd included Tamarama singer, Jay Lyon, the man behind the current club smash “Fire Burning“, Sean Kingston, and Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model, Jessica Hart.

The Hard Rock rolled out an impressive collection of rock memorabilia to add to the decor. My favorite pieces were the concert-worn leather pants belonging to Forever-27 rockers Janis Joplis and Jim Morrison.

By 10 p.m. everyone was feeling tispy from the free flowing drinks. To close out the party, Shiny Toy Guns hopped up on stage and treated us all to a kick ass hour long set.

All in all a very solid event, kudos to AXE, Rolling Stone Magazine and Hard Rock Cafe for knowing how to get it down.
