I got my first tattoo when I was 18 and have kept getting them. My grandfather had near full sleeves from his days in the navy and air force. I have two ass tattoos that make me laugh every time I see them. Even if the tattoo isn’t spiritual or deeply meaningful, it is personal because its a decision someone made to put it on their body. Just because its not for you doesn’t mean its not for them. And just because their tattoo doesn’t mean anything to you, doesn’t mean its meaningless to them. I’m not knocking the list, I think its funny as hell. I’m commenting on the people who are criticizing because they have no frame of reference.

When I see people tattooed on their face, especially heavily tattooed, I wonder what they do to earn a living. What kind of jobs are open to people who disfigure themselves? To me this is self-loathing at it’s most extreme!
