New York Likely to Pass Medical Marijuana Bill
For all of you terminally ill people out there who’ve been endlessly jealous of all the Californians that have been getting to smoke their pain away, your day in the haze may be coming soon. According to the Buffalo News, the New York legislature is poised to approve a medical marijuana bill in this session, making the forbidden plant available to patients (who meet the qualifications, of course) in the state. New York would be the 15th state to approve medical marijuana.
Advocates say they believe the Democratic- controlled Senate and Assembly have the votes to pass legislation permitting qualified patients to grow their own marijuana plants, or obtain the drug on the streets or through a state-sanctioned dispensary.Gov. David A. Paterson also is said to be supportive of the legalization.
“It’s looking pretty darn good,” Assemblyman Richard N. Gottfried, a Manhattan Democrat and Health Committee chairman, said of the bill’s chance to become law this session. [via]

It is about time to decriminalize medical marijuana. Thousands of New Yorkers are forced to go to the "criminals" to obtain their medicine. Tax it. Regulate it. Voters want it.
Contact your representatives and tell them you support the bill.
Legalize medical marijuana already. It works. Millions are using it. Why paying “black market” for something which can be taxed etc.? Legalize it and let’s move forward! It is just a plant. It doesnt kill like cigarettes and does not destroy millions families and individuals like alcohol does. So, what is the problem? Contact your representatives and tell them what you think about the issue.

I was diagnosed with Chrons Disease about 3 years ago.
Before then I smoked marijuana occassionally with my friends; during one of those times when I smoked with friends, I was at the same time experiencing Chrons related symptoms. Shortly into the session, I noticed that my symptoms significantly decreased. Since then, whenever I have a Chrons related episode, I call the weed-man to bring me my medicine. The only thing I don't like about smoking is the sedation, but when I'm going through bouts with Chrons, Its difficult to move about anyhow.
I'm for legalizing marijuana for Medicinal purposes
There are millions of deaths caused by Tobacco and Alcohol and those are regulated products available to everyone who meets the age requirement. How many deaths are there from Marijuana? hmmm…..0! The marijuana plant doesn't deter your health in any way, it only helps it. But nah lets just ignore the facts and continue the prohibition of this beautiful PLANT. Alcohol and cigarettes are manmade, marijuana grows naturally around the world. Wake the fuck up people.
