I regret the travel thing. After passing my degree in 1995 I went travelling to Australia and was lucky enought to work in two fantastic Backpackers Hostels the best being in Cairns. I was working two days a week with five days off. I was living my dream meeting great people totally chilled, very fit, my visa ran out but had the opportunity to go back but didn't that was my biggest regret as I drifted into a couple of jobs in the Isle of Man but my heart was in Australia, I decided to go back to study for a Masters degree and in short ended up having a nervous breakdown and then to add insult to injury due to an allergic reaction have had to deal with CFS for 13 years arrrgghhhh!!!! Always follow your heart people no matter what people try and tell you and if you are healthy be very greatful, the world is your oyster, I am just very sad as you don't realise what you had until its gone :((

No way do I agree with getting married too young. I didn't when I could have young, and now I'm in my late 40s and all that is around are women who did and want to fix their ex's problem in me, which I don't happen to have, and a built-in family. I can't imagine a divorce or anything else as painful as being alone all these years, except the bleak prospects of staying this way. The rest of the list I can agree with.

Here's the perspective of a successful professional and family man pushing 60.

1. Not focusing enough on grades in college.

2. Not traveling enough.

3. Not marrying my college sweetheart when I had the chance.
