The Worst States For Keeping College Grads
April 8, 2009 Posted in College
A few weeks back we told about the Benefits of Working In A College Town, Morgantown, W.Va, home of West Virginia University to be specific.
Morgantown has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the U.S. — just 3.9% — and the university itself has about 260 job openings, from nurses to professors to programmers.
Forbes has ranks states by their rate of college graduate retention after graduation and the statistics might give us a clue as to why there are so many job openings in Morgantown.
Apparently the state can’t keep the graduates of its top public university from leaving the state and its own natives won’t stay either.
Check out the statistics and once you’re done viewing the Worst States For Keeping College Grads check out Best States For Keeping College Grads.
