Mark McGwire Emerges As College Hitting Instructor

Since his appearance before a congressional hearing on the use of steroids in baseball, retired slugger Mark McGwire has made few public appearances and rarely spoken with the media. McGwire took himself out of the public eye after he retired in 2001 with 583 career home runs. That withdrawal became nearly total in 2005, after McGwire — implicated in former teammate Jose Canseco’s book as a steroid user — infamously declined to answer questions from congressmen about whether he used steroids, repeatedly saying, “I’m not here to talk about the past.” But McGwire has emerged from the ashes to share the hitting skills he aquired from years in the majors with a select group of young major leagures and college players alike.

The Art Of Bad Restaurant Food Photography

Who doesn’t love when restaurants take photos of their food and then display these images in their window? I know I do. The result is often the opposite of what they intended; it actually makes the meal look less appealing. Chinatown or Skid Row eateries are a great place to marvel at these culinary-displeasing photographic works of art. Blurry, badly lit, out-of-focus, or just plain poorly framed, maybe shot with a disposable camera, this genre of photography is deserving of a little recognition from the art community. Resident Evil 5 Gets Bloody

Ever wanted to put a rusty chainsaw through the mug of your best gaming pal? Get set for the latest twist in the Resident Evil franchise as game number five dumps the cooperative multi-player angle and pitches players up against each other thanks to a new online ‘Versus’ mode. Released separately to the game’s physical launch, the mode’s available for download from Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network, and lets up to four gamers join in the horrorcore fun, either as a bloody ‘Survivor’s Rule’ last-man-standing melee or in a rack-up-the-body-count ‘Slayer’s Rule’ shoot-out where the player who offs the most Majinis takes the spoils.

Just like X-Men was followed by utter sh!tstorms like Elektra and Daredevil–even Tim Burton’s brilliant take on the Batman franchise begot Joel Schumacher’s double-trouble nipple-fest, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin–studios will see the revenues collected in the last few years by graphic novel-inspired flicks and rush them to production to collect on the trend. The first books to go down in flames will be those with established followings and awards under their belts, because they’re the best bet at turning a profit. So before Fox Searchlight goes stamping their name on some self-indulgent reels of celluloid at the expense of timeless art, there are a few names in the comic biz you should know, before everything they’ve touched their pen to becomes a merchandising exercise.

Some college baseball scouts are calling San Diego State University’s 20-year-old right handed pitching star Stephen Strasburg the best they’ve ever seen. At 6-4 220 pounds, Strasburg consistently throws in the high-90’s with pinpoint accuracy and is said to have hit 103 M.P.H. on the radar gun. Not only does he have an over powering fastball but as a scout tells ESPN, “He’s got a plus slider, at 93-94 mph, and he’s got a plus change-up. He’s the best I’ve ever seen.”

Olivia Munn “Uses Her Devil Powers To Lure Young Boys Into Sin” ?!?

Olivia Munn’s sole purpose on Earth is to use “her devil powers to expose them (young men) to breasts, uncovers legs, mouth sex acts, sexual suggestions and other unholy things” according to ChristWire.org. And you know what?  We think that’s awesome!

To help publicize their latest rant against the liberal mainstream, which bashes Olivia, calling her “the devil in sheep’s clothing” ChristWire.com actually had the balls to drop a comment and a link on COED. They specifically targeted our story, Open Letter To Olivia Munn: Show Your Boobs Already! (which has a special twist at the end – we reveal photos of Olivia slipping some nip on air!) In the comment TyBowers (presumably from ChristWire) said, “Olivia is SIN!” and left a link to a ChristWire.org story, which reads.
