Remember a while back, when that lady sued McDonald’s for millions of dollars because her coffee was too hot? Well, it turns out that many of the details of that case were left out of the reporting. Things like the fact that her coffee really was too hot; so hot, it was capable of “instantaneous destruction of the skin.” And did you know that the woman was 79-years-old at the time, and suffered third-degree over 6-percent of her body? It just gets worse from there.

Check out the whole under-told story, here!

Read the article – still think it was frivolous. First, it is factually inaccurate. Coffee serverd at home is far hotter then 130-140. I have tested mine – Breville was 192* and Mr. Coffee was 184*F. More importantly, when you order hot coffee – well, you expect to get hot coffee. If I go buy a 10" chef's knife and cut my finger off while cutting carrots – can I sue because the knife was too sharp? Come on – anyone with any common sense knows that the only reason this woman won was because 10 morons too stupid to get out of jury duty wanted to "stick it to the Man".

(Yes, I know there were 6 men and 6 women on that Jury…the "10 morons" was sarcasm…but figured I better clarify up front)
